This won't be a popular opinion but i'd love to see them bring in Dez for a workout and see where he is at.

I think he could still be good in a Anquan Boldin type of role and let him do work in the redzone.

I know the team probably isn't going there but he is one of our all time greats and was done dirty. I think if he came back strong it would really energize the fan base too.

He's only 31 years old.

Anquan Boldin wasn’t very fast but he was a great route runner. About all Dez can do about routes is play them on Madden.

That’s been the case with all wide receivers that have had a long career. They were guys who ran excellent routes and worked on their craft in the offseason. Dez just relied like crazy on his physicality which was great when he was young but older he got the more difficult life became for him.

We are FAR off... The 49ers just threw the ball 8 times... I repeat EIGHT times yesterday and put up 37 points. The coaching and execution on that team is incredible.

Fat Mike will figure it out.

We’re loaded with talent. Jerry said so. So did ESPN.

The Cowboys would've been destroyed by either one of those two teams if they had played them. The 49ers defense is disgustingly better than the Cowboys defense. The Chiefs offense is on a whole other planet.

I’m just remembering what a middle Rush did to Mahomes when he played the patriots. I think the 49ers are two complete of a team. Ball control the whole thing. The homes can be rattled
Yet he was still a dumb dee ford penalty from going to back to back Super Bowls.

Don't get it twisted now.

We need to get better at qb and defense and special teams and have more heart. We also need our highly paid players to produce at the level commensurate to their pay

The Chiefs have freak players we can’t replicate... with very very good coaching.

The Niners have by far the best coaching staff top to bottom in the league. And they have a defense that’s down right nasty.

If we can get our players playing their best and we get decent coaching we can compete but we’re still a few players away.
They made A-A-Ron look like a b****.

We are 1 GM away from competing on a level playing field. Ridding ourselves of Jerry having anything to do with football decisions is a must and the only competitive disadvantage we have.
I can't wait until he's worm food.

QB, defense defense defense defense defense. Do the chiefs even have a kicker or punter on their team?

edit: a solid frame, but quick and fast TE who wants to run through the defender. Maybe Jarwin can be that guy, but who knows.

How far off are we?

I don't think we could ever be like the Chiefs because Mahomes is really that whole team. He's the best player in the NFL right now.

What we can replicate from the Chiefs is an offense that creates more explosive plays.

2 problems...

Dak is not an explosive big play QB.

Zeke was not an explosive RB at all this past season.

Defensively on paper I don't see us too far from the 9ers but when it plays out on the field our defense is nowhere near theirs.

I like our front 7 with Quinn. We need some help at DT.

Byron would be a big loss IMO. Especially with this coordinator.

First round defensive end and trade a future pick and 2nd for a very strong defensive tackle...inside out...and then front to back. A strong safety from draft of free agency.

Oh, and get our Offensive Coordinator, Moore, up to speed on intricacies of running the ball and setting up any opposing defensive efforts to defense our run!!

Both of these teams spent alot of resources on defense.

Chiefs used free agent dollars and trades since mahomes is only making 5M a year they can do this.

SF- invested many top 10 draft picks along the defense so they are cheap, added a free agent cb but then paid their QB 26M this year.

We aren't going to get there wasting draft picks and breaking the bank on mediocre defensive players. A real GM is how we put it all together.
