I figured this much. It’s not news since we knew all this. If he woulda said Byron is our number two priority then let the chatter begin lol

plus if DC Mike Nolan really has a big emphasis on turnovers - this is the area that Jones will never be able to help the Cowboys.
i'm not putting in elite big money in a CB that is just on a solid coverage level.
I still question this statement by most fans. We have had #1 picks like Jone and Claybourne, guys with experience who had a few turnovers early in careers like Scandrick, big money free agents who had ints before Dallas and after Dallas, like Carr.....no one has created enough turnovers. Not one CB or Safety.

That’s all about scheme and technique, my friends. Other teams avoid Jones. He’s excellent in coverage, and he’s the guy who can cover TEs like Eartz. You don’t let him walk and draft someone else and expect to be better. In a different scheme, taught differently, Jones will continue to be our best CB.

Is this quote from today or a month ago?

Because it sounds like the same thing I've been hearing since the season ended.
This sounds like the same thing we've been hearing since LAST season ended. This is getting to be like Jaylon's nerve all over again. I wish they would stop talking about it and just do it.

Stop posting what Jerry and Stephen have to say. It's embarrassing. Why would you care what they have to say? After 25 years of FAIL? Spare me.

Just hope those two blind squirrels have found a nut in MM and let's move on.

I don't see both getting done...but if they do, you tag Byron, right?

I call BS. If they wanted to sign either one of these guys it would have gotten done already. I mean, they signed Jaylon and he wasn’t even due. The price tag for both of these guys keeps going up and up and up. The more they talk about wanting to sign them, the more insincere it sounds.

I think the jury is still out on Byron but yeah you're going to have to make a decision personally I think he regressed but that may be due to the dysfunction with the coaching it's going to be a gamble either way
He was still second in the league in targets amongst players over 300 snaps to Richard Sherman. Dude does hold down his side of the field, is he a turnover machine? Not at all, in fact 0 in 2 years.

So for me you sign Dak and Amari, franchise BJ for a year, draft a CB in round 2 without immediate pressure to start (if he takes chidobe’s job so be it), then draft another CB in a good class next year and you’ve remade your secondary for cheap in 2 years without losing production.

I think Dallas will get both (Dak and Cooper) signed before March 10th deadline

I'm 100% confident you're right ..........notice the order of the priorities. It's no coincidence....... he wanna get Dak locked just in case he needs to tag Coop. IMO this only confirms no way in hell Dak's getting tagged. My guess, his deal gets done paying him somewhere between Goff and Wilson.

Nothing gets done until Jerry decides to circumvent the agent.

I had a thought about tagging and trading Jones. But then I realized that Dee Ford got traded for a second, so the likelihood you could get anymore than a 4th is very small
