Freddie wasn’t a very good HC but he was a pretty good OC the year before really I’d rather have him as OC than JG.

Looks like they are going with a lot of experience on the staff to off set the tone experience at HC

Watch the Giants go ahead and win the division next season.
THEY COULD. Reality is JG has the ability to do that, his issue has always been adapting and evolving...and most of all creativeness. They have a very nice nucleus of talent on offense to work with. Cornerstones. Gents biggest issues are defensively. They are a hot mess.

Do you really need all these coaches to run up the gut on first down, run wide on 2nd, and throw to the TE on 3rd?
when we had Murray at rb..it worked our well for us. If we are being honest, Murray was a better instinctive runner than Zeke. Hate to say that, but its true. His only issue was fumbling.

Agree, but he wasn't that bad fumbling. The most he had in a season in Dallas was 3 but that was with 392 carries and he was the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year that year.

He only got to play 4 seasons in Dallas and left b/c we refused to play him 8 million a year. . Not sure why we value Zeke Elliott more.

great point...good darn question. I think we messed up not tagging him. We should have done that with Murray. Like a prove it deal. Zeke hasn't really been that great after his rookie year. Been up and down. MAYBE its partly due to the scheme. I see him too tentative and slow. He seemed to get into football shape and got quicker in the hole down the stretch. THEN AGAIN, that's who he has been...starts sluggish and half a beat behind then gets quicker later. I think he needs to change what hes doing training. Look at the backs San Fran has. They are decisive, run with purpose and have live legs. Zeke simply doesn't...he is more or less a sledge hammer these days. THATS FINE...and I think it may be why we drafted Pollard. Will be interesting to see how MM and Moore use them. I think we need to draft another RB to get the competition going. Zeke sometimes gets too comfy I think.

I'll be shocked if we bring in another back. But, I'd love to see us grab Clyde Edwards Hillaire from LSU in round 3 or 4. That kid is the next Darren Sproles. The problem is that we are pretty much stuck with Zeke b/c of the contract he just signed. So, you gotta use him.

very true..but knowing how MM loves bringing rb's and finding a gem..I wouldn't be shocked to see a surprise. I LOVE THAT LSU BACK U MENTIONED. I AGREE. Would be a weapon to pair with Pollard. MM loves QB'S and RB'S...that's his M.O...bringing in fresh skill position players on offense and finding dudes no one has heard of and getting the most out of them. Did anyone know who the Davante Adams was? lol...Or what about Scantling? He and Ted Thompson did a decent job finding those guys. I cannot wait to see what he and McClay do.

if anyone is the most like Andy Reid, its Mike McCarthy. Reid evolved and I think we shall see MM bring a fresh set of ideas to the team. Th best part is, we now have the element of surprise again. TEAMS just can't scheme us on D and stop us. NOTHING will be telegraphed.

I like al, the optimism in believing all these moves will fail, typically when that happens , its just the opposite..no one will see them coming, Jones can make a leap his second season, Barkley healthy, Ingram /witten , High draft picks etc etc

maybe they are SF of 2020 going from the cellar to the penthouse..

im glad real coaches and players are not fans and they know better..":))

H-m-m. Good grief! Looks like it's quickly becoming a conflagration of losers enjoining that franchise! Seemingly bodes well for us?! :muttley:

So the Giant's plan is to saddle Joe Judge with failed former Head Coaches? This is great for the Cowboys.
