What if Dallas did THIS?

I'm a fan of Kinlaw at 17 but even though I like Fotu there's no way I'm drafting him that early.

At 17 draft Kinlaw.
Trade down a bit in the 2nd and draft Fotu out of Utah.

Put 2 monsters inside next to DLaw. Resign Quinn. Bring an aggressive blitzing scheme. Sign a vet CB and let’s go to work!

Sounds like a good plan if you have the right players. But who is Fotu? I don't see him in the top 3 rounds on the big board I'm looking at.

He's a big fat guy that takes up space. On rare occasions he's been known to actually make a play. He's an early day 3 pick unless someone reaches.

I think hes more of a late 4 early 5 guy but I like the combo and thought of adding that big body

Hard to find rookies that come out of the blocks as monsters. I just look at all those DT's in FA and think we should snag at least one of them.

If kinlaw is there I take him
But I add another DT in FA and use my other picks to fix other issues
The quality at DT is not likely to be the best player after 17
We have many other needs including secondary

If you're going to have an aggressive blitzing scheme, there's no point in drafting Fotu.

I like Kinlaw in the 1st round but I am thinking Dallas would have to trade up to get him and that is not going to happen. Kinlaw could be a David Irvin, Leon Lett type of player for Dallas. They desperately need a strong DT to push the pocket and control the middle of the defense. Since it not like them to sign a top tier free agent they have to hit a home run in the draft.

I gotta watch some tape on this kid. Is he picking up steam? Is he slated to go in the 2nd?

I like Fotu but I wouldn't even trade down in the 3rd for him.

He is a 4th-5th rounder and a 2 down player in the NFL

I got him going in the 5th round.....

And the more I keep working my draft board...the further he keeps slipping.
