So that means you dont have any to post? Instead you try to insult me to if i were to stupid to be able to find them. This is lame.

If you make a statement be able to prove it. And dont try to get out of responsibility by insulting the one who is questioning you.
Denial is a river... The team you love is extremely popular. Why is that so hard to see or admit? I'm not going to do research for you when several articles and stats about the subject have been posted right here at the Zone. Why does it bother you that it is a FACT that the Dallas Cowboys are the most popular NFL team. It's foolish to dispute it and pretend you don't see what you see. You can't be obtuse then get sensitive when called out on it.

Hype.

Jerry built in in the 90's and once the hype engine turned on he constantly feeds it jet fuel. He doesn't care if it's good bad or whatever as long as you are talking cowboys.

Huge fanbase, history, the aura of the team, always talked about by talking heads, most played on primetime slots either by SNF/MNF/FOX/CBS.
Hell, I got all 16 games in South Florida this past year. Even with quite a bit of transplant Giant and Eagles fans down here.

You know i am open to be convinced by another opinion. But it sure wont happen just because you wrote about it and have the opinion i have to have the same.

Maybe people in your surrounding take everything you say as the gold standard without questioning it. Well, i do not and that is what i am proud of: questioning the things others say before making them my own believe.

So here is your chance to convince me: post some sources of the facts you talked about. Maybe you'll make a new experience - maybe the first time in your life: How it feels to convince somebody by intellect and rationality. And not having to discredit your dialog partner just because that is the way you learned it. Give yourself a chance to evolve! Here is my hand - take it if you wish.

If you're not aware of the Cowboys popularity in this country and the world, I don't know what to tell you. You're either a contrarian or just ignorant as hell. In any event I'm not wasting time trying to convince you of what everybody else already knows. I'm done with the conversation. Peace be unto you.

I am skeptical of people who cite Tom Landry, the 1970s, etc. as reasons why the Cowboys still command an enormous following today. If you go around in California, Florida, New Jersey, etc. asking people in Dallas jerseys why they are rooting for Dallas, would they seriously say "Landry and the 70's?"

First how old are you , never mind obviously not old enough to have watched the 70s Cowboys in the moment or you would not be skeptical . Tom Landry flew bomber missions in the war . Roger Staubach served his country in Vietnam .
These were REAL MEN that served their country first then represented everything good about sports and were so dominant in there time that they built a following of fans that they have passed their fanhood on .

The Cowboys played in the ICE BOWL the most Iconic game of all time . Nothing today comes close to comparing with that unprecedented event . They had the Shift , the shotgun , the Hail Mary .

You had to live and feel the early Cowboys in the moment to understand what they meant and how the impacted this sport like no other team . Reading or watching it after the fact dose it no justice . When you have Captain America and the fastest man in the world on your team its more than special

I was born into the Cowboys, my dad watched them when they 1st started playing and has followed them since. Myself I started watching games with him in the mid 60's and have followed them all these years. Why others like them, don't know and don't care. The bond I have with this team is life long. Win, lose or tie.

Late 60's, love at first sight. Growing up in Akron, Ohio; my dad followed the Browns. One day while in misery, a star appeared and I haven't turned back since.

The Cowboys are more than their uniforms, cheerleaders, championships, star players, coaches, owners , and periods of mediocrity, etc. Many have tried to remove the moniker given to the team, but it will never happen.

Some ignorant fans have stated, the Cowboys are no longer, "America's Team". Your opinions will not change the prestige and history, of the team. Ali, was not the greatest boxer, but he is known as the "Greatest".

I'm sitting in my truck, up in Hudson, NY, waiting for my first customer to open. One of the employees walking across the parking lot is wearing a Cowboys hoodie.

It's a movement!!

Not uncommon for the Cowboys gear to end up in the clearance bin these days

You are making bold statements, do you have any facts for that ?

- "of the Cowboys popularity in this country and the world": Do you have any statistics for that to prove that ? Or can you at leats quantify what you mean by "popularity". Does that mean people watch them, or know them, or like them. Then how much do they like them, how much do they know them, how much do they watch them ... etc... for example compared to other things. Well, you should get the idea.
- "what everybody else already knows": Again can you show some statistics (of for example surveys) to show that everybody knows what you are trying to state.

I can go on thru all your posts, where you stated a lot of those theses, which you don't prove. But lets start with those 2 above.

Again: Just because you think it is like you think doesn't mean it is real. Stubborness in what you would like to be real doesn't make it necessarily right or become reality.

Prove what you say, then we can talk again. Or else you are going to be (to me) just someone who likes to make up a lot of (emotional) stuff to be in the spotlight.

I thought you were just playing dumb, but now I see you're serious. No need to reply. I won't again. It'll be alright.

While I heard the stadium is nice for entertainment, I heard the football experience is awful. Stadiums like Mile High and Arrowhead seem much better from that respect.

In DC, Commanders fan hate Landover and long for the RFK days, when the stadium used to shake, again

The idea/image of Texas is what the country aspires to be whether they believe it or not.

Cowboys...independent tough guys blazing a trail through life whatever it takes. Even the latte-drinking, laptop crowd wishes that were them on some level and it translates to fandom.

Jerry is good at hype and creating storylines. He goes after things that will create drama and storylines, and while that is often to the detriment of building a winning team, it certainly brings attention and attention brings with it fans (also haters but for every hater there is a fan).
This x 1000. Cannot believe this did not get more likes

I can recall during the Campo era (3 straight 5-11 seasons).....Jerry would mention those team and winning the Super Bowl in the same sentence. He is the ultimate carnival barker.
