Ain’t happening! He hasn’t played since 2017 and he’s burned too many bridges in Dallas.
No. He was a Garrett scapegoat. And “Garrett guys” wanted him gone. Now that Garrett is gone, well......

Whatever else you can say about Dez, either for or against him, I think everyone has to agree he really loved being a Cowboy. His continued passion for the team is laudable. This guy is a Cowboy at heart.

this^^^^^^ I honestly think he's looking for closure with the Cowboys. It's why he keeps begging for a chance. I actually feel bad for him coz I know he's regretting the way his career end here. But you're right, not hard to see his passion......damn near on par with Michael Irvin.

Dez really loves Dez, he can never shut his mouth for more than a couple weeks. He was bad enough creating attention for himself on the field and now once he’s not playing he’s even worse. He always has and always will make himself the center of attention, what a pathetic needy jerk.

Kind of sad seeing how bad he wants this..
Hate to say this but I think his career is at a point where only a major injury to a starter will get him serious consideration.

I'll respond to my own post here, only because I keep hearing the negative. It's not like he isn't working. I worry about disruption but on this video that looks pretty quick to me. I'll take it at TE. I doubt he'd make the team but wouldn't Jerry love the attention with the new coach that was on the sideline for the non catch? I actually think some of the young guys would take to him. The issue...when does he start complaining?

Too much of a distraction. When the guy is detrimental to a game, it's not worth it.

Frankly, it's time to start turning the corner on much of the Garrett era........... even guys like Bryant who weren't here at the end of the Garrett run.

Again, that would be the worry. I like the passion but sometimes it's not an Irvin passion but a complaining passion. But he looks good.

I wouldn't mind a revamp...especially on D. I'd like to swap many of those guys.

I disagree. He made videos before of pretty awful route running and it looked like the neighborhood kids were covering him.

He was foolish enough to think there was some conspiracy amongst players to get him off the team. He got himself booted with rants and distractions he was causing.

Others here have said Garrett wanted him back and tried to talk Jerry into keeping him, and others just say Dez was too much of a distraction and too high priced for everyone.

Besides, I don't recall anyone saying Jason is excused for not winning because he had Dez, so exactly who is it you are saying used Dez as a scapegoat for Garrett?
