NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: WR AMARI COOPER
Don’t be surprised if we see Tom Brady go unsigned the first day or two of free agency while he sees it all play out. The Patriots desperately need help at wide receiver, and bringing in one of the 15 most valuable ones may convince him to stay. Cooper has been a completely different player since he left Oakland — since his first game with Dallas, Cooper’s PFF receiving grade is the 11th best, and he’s generated the ninth most explosive plays.

I mentioned back during the season that this would be a likely landing spot for Coop if we don't make a serious offer. He is as quiet as they come, shows up and goes to work every week and doesn't say boo. Runs tight routes, can give you the big plays. He's a perfect fit for Belichick.

They definitely should.

Amari Cooper is unbelievable when healthy. One of the best route runners ever.

For about 10 weeks this past year he was a top 3 WR in football and the lower body injuries clearly piled up on him.

Dallas has mismanaged these contracts so poorly as of late.

Wasn't coop the one who said he would rather play against Tom Brady than with him? Wonder if he stays true to that statement if the the pats do come calling lol

Cooper goes to the patriots and you can definitely call the patriots contenders again.

Nope! I want to sign him long-term regardless of the so-called armchair GM’s among us.

One thing to remember if you tag him ......Belichick is not afraid to give a 1st for a WR. He's done it before.....

Being that Dak & Amari are the Cowboys primary guys to sign. They will both be tagged before FA if not already signed. Both a franchise & transition tag are available in the last year of the cba.

Who's their QB going to be?

Given the franchise crossroads, and the amount of notable qb's in the draft, I could see the Patriots aggressively looking to move up. They don't seem to value, or miss draft picks much at all anyway. Perfect storm

Hell, now that I think about it......we will either sign Coop or tag him ( meaning Dak's deal def gets done ). I see no way in hell we let him walk. ALL 3 teams in the division, especially the Eagles, would sign him in a heartbeat. The tags allow us to either keep him or at a min control where he goes.
