Nothing else to do.
Oh my goodness that sounds so sad...

I think you need a direct flight to El Paso and learn how to Live again.
I don't even charge!
Just be prepared for lots of salsa dancing with gorgeous women and stimulating conversations from stimulating origins.

I just kid. I know I'll never pry you out of whatever hole you've dug yourself.

Oh wow, bringing back the Boys old linebackers coach is a treat. It’s possible that McCarthy has something particular in mind for Edwards. The new season can't come fast enough.

If I ever find myself in El Paso, I will take you up on that offer.

O'Quinn was a complete novice and that was a huge almost immeasurable issue. Colombo was inexperienced. He might have corrected the Alexander mistake, but there were too many times where opposing staffs outcoached him (go back and watch the Viking game). Those are perhaps the two most critical coaching positions on a staff.

If you honestly feel that that staff, as a whole, was qualified, take a minute to realize how you really overlooked some things.

Columbo and Quinn weren't here very well. Richard has coached in Super Bowls. Maranelli has coached in Super Bowls. Yeah O'Quinn had no experience. That's one coach out of a bunch of them. And Colombo was here with the help of Hudson Houck who also has a great resume. Inexperience they were not.

I guess you meant long, so whatever.

Richard has coached in Super Bowls.

As what? A position coach? Who cares?

Maranelli has coached in Super Bowls.

And as second fiddle.

I don't care. Each of them enjoyed what is pretty much an overrated status.

Marinelli rode off the coattails of the Dungy Bucs, failed big time trying to construct a DL in Detroit and came into Dallas like a remora on Old Man Kiffin's back. Then he kept riding this "guru" reputation.

He is, was or whatever, the most overrated coordinator we have had in team history. Period.

I cannot think of any other coordinator or positional coach who had as profound negative impact on our drafts and the direction of the franchise than he did.

It started with the "quick twitch" draft that blew things up and it continued with the Charlton and Trysten Hill debacles.

He should never, ever have had the kind of sway he got. Because frankly, were it not for high picks like Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice, he would have never been successful. He is a parasite that is just good enough to get low level talent to play above their heads. That still does not equate to winning football. Sorry.

Yeah O'Quinn had no experience. That's one coach out of a bunch of them. And Colombo was here with the help of Hudson Houck who also has a great resume. Inexperience they were not.

Honestly, Houck is a lot like Marinelli. Do you want me to list the players he liked and how it set us back?

Look if you want to say they sucked that's fine. Aside from Colombo and Quinn I didn't say much inexperience. They just weren't very good.

George Edwards, who spent the last six years as the Minnesota Vikings coordinator, is interviewing with the Cowboys regarding a spot on the defensive staff, according to a source. Edwards was the Cowboys linebackers coach from 1998-2001. The Cowboys have filled their defensive position coach roles, but Mike McCarthy could look to add Edwards under an unspecified title.

Xavier Rhodes coming here soon!

I like the hire if we can bring him on board... Lots of experienced coaches on board. Still-- of all the assistants and coordinator hires-- I am most excited about John Fassel. Special teams has been an absolute train wreck the last two years. Glad we are finally addressing that phase of our team.
From Ur mouth to God's ear! Fassel. Fassel. Fassel! ;)

So uhh......I'm not gonna pretend like I know much about Edwards.....but does he not seem to be more qualified than Mike Nolan is? I'd be more interested in getting the Vikings DC than I would the Saints linebackers coach.
Zimmer was the real DC in Minn. Like being Andy Reid’s OC. Who knows how much they actually do.

Starting to remind me of the Dick Vermeil Rams. Talented team, new talented coaches, new systems = great results.

zimmer called the plays. you're right it's hard to know coordinators under HCs calling plays but from what i've read, he was heavily involved in the game planning and was looked upon pretty favorably that he even got a HC interview last year. could all mean nothing though.

Honest question if anyone wanna take a crack .........why he hasn't hired Jim Hasselt?

I remember Haslett giving Romo fits for a few years. It took Romo awhile to figure out Haslett's blitz schemes.
