It will be interesting to see how he's treated by the local and national media when he crosses over into 30M land. He could care less about sports forums, that's noting more than social media to him.

The fact that he's weathered being the Dallas Cowboys QB so well bodes well for him from here on out. Not a more scrutinized position in sports. Garrett's going to feel like he fell off the end of the earth and he's in NY.

I can't tell if the OP likes Dak or not, but I agree that it will be brutal when he signs. Hopefully Dak has enough sense not to worry about it.

the OP is already expecting Dak won’t deliver that is why he is making this post

if Dak leads us to 3 of next 5 NFCCGs and wins a couple of SBs how many fans would be saying he’s overpaid?

the fact is the OP thinks his homie ain’t getting us there so he’s making this preemptive thread

I hope Quincy doesn't read this board. Nobody deserves to be insulted like that.

No, the Jones should say no to Dak's demands for Prescott is not the man to take Dallas anywhere but farther down the road to mediocrity.
We just need to both accept the fact that we have completely different outlooks on Prescott! I think he has all the intangibles and has performed under incredibly poor coaching... give the man a break and have a little patience because you're going to need it.

With 35 million a year he can buy new skin made out of gold if he wants. Dak doesn’t give a crap what people on this board or any social media says. Dak seems like a very smart level headed guy who knows how good he is and what his potential will be.

We better draft a quality LT. because Smith is in his like 10th year. By the time Dak supposedly is expected to get us over the hump, our OL will be in turnover mode. And Zeke will be on his last legs.

It's easy to not care what people think when you're making 35-40 mill a year.

Imagine feeling disrespected by making 25-30 mill a year.... Especially when you've done nothing as a player but be solid.

If this team makes it to the NFCCG in the next two seasons, is anyone going to care what they're paying the QB?

LOL....you have no idea what you're talking about. Nothing worse than trying to think for another person. You wanna know what I'm thinking ( or any other person for that matter) just ask me, be happy to tell you. Not hard at all.......

Never hated or loved Quincy.......just thought he was a reach in the 2nd round and his play wound up reflecting that

Parcells thought he would develop into an excellent starting quarterback. Weed was Quincy's downfall.

Dak my man, you think they're coming after you now, wait until you sign on the dotted line paying you north of $30M+. Wondering what it'll look like? Take a peek on Zeke, DLaw, Jaylon Smith and Cooper bashing, add it all up and multiply it x 100.....in other words, better have some thick skin, you're going to need it. They're coming after you in a way that will make Qunicy Cater look like a choir boy. It's going to be brutal, relentless and downright nasty.

I hate to say this but I honestly believe this board, like any other Cowboys boards, are going relive the Quincy Carter vs Chad Hutchinson days except Dak's competition won't be another player. It'll be his contract and whether or not he's worth it or living up to it. The crazy thing about those days most fans either hated or loved Quincy Carter, no middle ground.

Honestly, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to it ...........
I think it's really off base to discuss Dak alongside Quincy and Hutchinson. There is a huge difference. In only 4 years he has easily accomplished more than the two of them did combined in their entire careers.

As for the price of his contract, I think people are ignoring the trend in contracts, especially for QB's. Wentz and Goff signed extensions last year that may be a little behind what Dak will sign for, and in another year or so Mahomes and Watson will be signing extensions that will likely blow way past what Wentz, Goff or Dak sign for. Fans like to thing $20MM/ year is a realistic price tag for a QB that falls short of being one of the elite few, but that's just not reality.

Quincy LIVES baby within #4.....and you thought it was safe in the Red-Zone......:omg:

It might be one of Dakota's brothers, Tad or Jace........man, all 3 of these dudes really have street names. If there was a 4th it would probably be Biff or Chase....but certainly not Placenta

We are building the Greatest "GOOD" team that this league has ever seen.

Without google'ing, can you name more than five players on the Chiefs (not named Mahomes or Kelce) and 49ers (not named Garappolo or Bosa)?

I am pulling for him. Don’t matter how good he does. Last year was let him play out his rookie deal and let’s see if he gets better. He did but not enough. If he made the playoffs this past year like the year before it wouldn’t have been enough. If he helps make and win the SB this coming year he still won’t get any more believers. He will be called a bus driver and the others around him made it possible. Same with Romo, some will never like it or him.

Just do your part and get me a ring.
