Are we really going to dump everything into Dak?

Exactly,, Jerry has created an environment here, a desperate environment, where all you have to do is just flash talent, and we will make you the highest payed at your position.
Its a fools eye, but the drones here will stand behind and support everything that this top brass says is what is right to do for this franchise, because they are "professionals" in their
roles.
I always get called out on this board because I constantly stand by my eye test. If it doesn't pass the eye test, if the talent isn't there, than do not invest, but Im just another ignorant poster that has no clue on how to evaluate talent,,, la da la da...lol
Those that criticize all of us that can actually see, are the true blind.
Its really easy to recognize greatness vs average, just turn on your high tech TV, I don't care where you bought it, everybody has the ability to rewind and review,, lol, but I digress.
Daks a Good QB
Tank is a Good DE
Zeke is a Good/Great RB
Coop is a never healthy very talented could be top 5 WR soon to be payed Great money contract.
Add that all up, and I don't give a damn how much the Cap is increasing, when you constantly invest top shelf contract money in Good players in this league you are going to get beat by other teams that invest tops shelf contract money in top shelf Great players.
Why is this so difficult.

.
Oh my..

Not sure you can say it plainer.

We will see if MM goes along with Jerrah's way of painting the picture of the State of the Cowboys.

First editions normally start hitting the airwaves about SB week. You know..sideline interviews from the stands that is supposed to spontaneous.

Where Jerrah starts to lay down disinformation about who and what we need going forward?

If we see MM giving these interviews then we know something has changed.

Last I heard, MM was staying at the Star and not going to the Games to look at talent.

Hmmmm...

Dak couldnt get it done now? Can you imagine the list of QB's that would have been thrown away if they couldnt get it done to the level Dak has in his first 4 years?
Some HOF's in this category.

Leave your hatred for Dak aside and realize its a team sport. Its time to accept that solid starting QB's in the NFL are getting 30m+ per year.
Eli Manning has SB wins for christ sake.

So it is hatred because we don't think Dak deserves 35 million - and that the team can be sucessful with that handicap! you guys are ridiculous!

Eli did not take up 20% of the cap either!

Retirement must be getting to you, a hobby at this point in your life other than football may be the elixer you need.

I think the rock band Styx wrote a song about this aliment called "too much time on my hands"...
Hmmm..

Maybe just a fan for too long.

Maybe I should switch teams?

Might be easier on the BP.

And I prefer Carly Simon..

I think you are underestimating how good Dak is.
Maybe.

I guess if he is going to be paid like the best..

its reasonable to expect as much as reasonable.

So when as fans, we see what teams are getting for what is being invested..

Its concerning.

Our saving hope right now is that MM is his own man. I want to believe MM is going to get a good look at Dak early on to identify his missing skills and address it.

MM is not Garrett..bought and sold as a front man to do what the ownership wants projected on field.

MM has a thin line but I see if he falls into odds with the front office he will walk and look for another opportunity.

I do not see other outcomes and if he leaves the cat is out of the bag and nobody will coach here that values their rep.

So on so many levels..this needs to work.

We will see.

All them three things you established are basically non football skills lol. He doesn’t win because didn’t we miss the playoffs so how is that winning going? What does Dak do good as a passer of the football?

Non-football skills? If you say so.

I'm fine with you not liking Dak Prescott as the QB of your Dallas Cowboys. I'm even okay with you not understanding what he's does "good" as a QB. That's your opinion.

What I hope you understand even more, however, is that he did not get a lot of help from the defense in 2019. That should be your primary concern (as a fan) going into 2020.

I think the QB situation is a bit unique. If you have a bottom third QB with no upside you can be —and should be—ruthless in your salary negotiations with that player.

I think Dak showed last year he can carry a team although he hasn’t proven it for the longer term so it’s a bit of a projection.

If you have a top 10 QB you have to evaluate things a bit differently. You likely can’t replace a top 10 QB in the draft with another top 10 QB in the draft without some luck.

So if Dak is top 10 (and it’s hard for me to wrap my mind around this but he may be top 5 if you consider his youth and upside) then you are going to have to pay him what it takes unless you think the number is so high you can’t field a team around him.

Tanks contract was bad. While you can get two Tanks for what Dak will probably cost you, Dak makes more difference to the win loss total than 2 Tanks do.

You can’t win without good QB play in the NFL.

The defense and Special teams were flimsy. Opposing teams started of drives in much better field position than Dallas. We were often backed up. Field position is everything.

Personally, I've always held the view that the #4 was worth about half of that 30 million contract that's being bandied about( tho, I took note of marked improvement in his passing accuracy& overall commitment in "tripping the trigger" early on in this most recent season, as to the "why" the MO-JO stone cold stopped?, I blame JASON GARRETT)o_O

Signing Dak will “destroy the team for the next 5 years, or however long he is signed”.

I mean can we all at least admit the hyperbole is getting a little strong?

Even if signing Dak long term wouldn’t help the team reach the goal of winning a super bowl. Saying it would destroy the team for the next 5 years seems a little much. Let’s be real.

You knew the intent like I already said, when your stupidity runs out of useful input, attack and insult . Looks like you are the English police besides chief idiot. Same old don't like the message kill the messenger.
In this post: adult male who couldn’t pass a 4th grade English test calls another man stupid.

Thanks for the laughs, Mr. Inferior.

I think he’s easily top 10 and maybe top 5. He’s not in the class of Mahommes but who is?

Would Mahommes be Mahommes if he had been playing for Garrett his entire tenure in the NFL. Something tells me no.
If you think beating up on bums and struggling against decent comp is top 10 ok. I just disagree but we all see things differently

If I know so. Like what does he do good as an actual passer of the football? You don’t even know what he does good hence why you can’t even answer the question outside some bs he’s a leader talk. The defense probably saying they didn’t get a lot of help from him either. I see you’re another stats junkie that don’t watch games. Why against the better teams for the most part the D didn’t give up points but your “leader” out here scoring about 10 a game against decent comp when the game mattered. Twice he didn’t and that was the first Eagles game and the Vikings game.

Troy Aikman said he wouldn’t hesitate to pay Dak.

“The team has tried Dak as the Franchise QB and just can't get it done.

Multi-million dollar OL..

Multi-million dollar RB..

soon to be multi-million dollar WR..

soon to be multi-million dollar QB

No titles on the wall..”

So no mention of defense, special teams or coaching?

Dak should overcome all of that and win Super Bowls anyways?
:lmao2:

The defense was good the last 2 years
