If the price is right then yes.

Dak getting paid so much makes it hard to resign guys like him who are essentially a backup for most of the season.

We need to pay guys who are on the field and Jaylon and LVE should see more of the field then Lee.

Yes, I would keep him on a cap friendly deal. I thought he played well for us to close out the year. He’s a depth filler at this point but at least we know what we got vs JAG free agent.

Yes I would retain him on a 1 year deal. Good leader, good understanding of xs and os, and quick learner. He can help with the defenaive transition.

Lee is from Pittsburgh like McCarthy so he'll probably win him over. Easy transition from being a Garrett Guy to a McCarthy Guy!

I am all for bringing Sean Lee back if they can turbo his gurney and make it all wheel drive.

I so very much want to kick Lee to the curb, but I have to give it him...he played well late in the season. This has more to do with LVE n Jaylon than Lee...my trust in those young LBs is not the best. Maybe sign a couple FAs n draft an LB would be in order.

Lee costs peanuts. His cheap contract helps us out and he can mentor the younger guys efficiently.

No-brainer to me, just depends on how he feels.

Lee played very well this year.

Played 59% of the snaps in 16 games and started 13.

He can still play and makes this team better. He played on a team friendly deal last year and don't expect that will change. We'd have been in a pickle if we hadn't had him last year. Can't imagine anyone not wanting him back.

I definitely had my thoughts that Sean Lee was NOT going to return to play another year here if we were being converted to a 3-4 scheme.

IF we were to convert to such a base scheme, then that would have LVE and Jaylon in
the starting middle, with DLaw on one OLB role, while the other side would have to be determined.
That would leave Sean Lee out as a possible starter. Would he want to return to be a backup middle LB ?

But with the plan to stay in the 4-3 scheme, that could mean Lee remaining a strong side OLB starter.
I for one, think Lee will want to come back and play for yet one more season.

The Bigger question is: Will Mike and Mike (McCarthy/Nolan) be considering bringing back a 33 year old
and retaining that limited role of 20% snaps while young cornerstones LVE and Jaylon take the roles in the 4-2-5 nickel packages.

I could see the new coaching regime going with a newer young starter instead of the old school Lee, who remarkably (and shockingly) stayed virtually healthy for the entire year (aside from 1 game I think) .

Me? I'd be interested in doing a 1 year, vet minimum for Lee, ..along side adding young candidate(s) that can seriously contend for a starting strong side job either immediately and definitely inside two years.
Im not a fan of him as an Lolb. Not a great fit. He is more a sideline to sideline guy as opposed to a down hill LB. However I think he still has alot of value as a reserve and someone who will be able to make plays in subpackages.

I think if you make him a starter, out him on the right side in base with Jaylon left

He's a no-brainer if he plays for peanuts. He might be older, but the last season played when asked to and did pretty well toward the end. His knowledge is great and he's a team player who is fine with being a backup.

Sure, bring him back. And Witten. And Heath and Dez.
Old Home days in our comfort zone: 8-8.
