We wasted four years to make a Dak-friendly offense. We got all the time in the world for another project. if we benched Romo for this mediocre QB.
I remember after his first year I was saying how he was just hood enough to nook prevent this team from drafting a QB. They should of had a bad season in 2016 and ended up with Watson.

Watson would be sitting behind this line, with all the time in the world, picking apart defenses all day long. No team would have sat back like they do with Dak with one safety and man on the outside all day long.

Cheap to just use an extract from a complete post and take it out of context.

The point remains, if anyone reasonably considers that Cooper Rush should have started vs the Eagles...then it speaks volumes about the STATE of the performance the starting Dallas Cowboys quarterback actually delivered on the night in a win and you are in game.
Not cheap at all. The comments about starting Cooper Rush ... in any game where Dak can still walk, is ludicrous and deserves all those emotes and more

Based on where we are picking and likely to pick next year, its more like 3 first round picks. Thats what KC gave to move up for Mahomes and that was only the #10 pick.
Nope. No reason to exaggerate.

K.C. traded the No. 27 overall pick, a third-round pick and their 2018 first-round selection to the Buffalo Bills to move up to No. 10 to select Mahomes.

I stand corrected. But , to move from 17 to 3 is far more costly. If you look at this year trade value chart, the Lions pick has a value of 2200 points. So, how many first round picks it would take to move up that high is largely dependent on where the Lions think next years Dallas pick is likely to be. Best case scenerio, it costs us 2 first and second round pick.

every poster who talks so casually about “move up and get Burrow” or “do whatever you have to do to get the #1 next year and take Lawrence” needs to take themselves to school

click on that link, learn what it actually takes to do some of this stuff, and then post your plans.
Brain-dead people who will whine incessantly while going through the rebuilding crap and then whine about the new QB and blame Jerry because it's the easy thing to do at that point.

Seriously brain-dead people on here.

If you follow any of my posts I wanted to trade everyone for the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. I wanted to stockpile picks trade players that want too much money, etc. last year. Lawrence and Zeke would be gone. Dak would be moving on in a couple weeks to some dumb GM that is desperate.

I'd be all in for Lawrence. He's Peyton Manning with speed.

What is your “everyone” that the worst NFL team will accept for the #1 overall

throw it out there. What assets do you think would get it done?

“Everyone” is a a bit much because whoever has that pics won’t want “everyone”

I’m genuinely interested in your thoughts

Too late now. We already committed huge money to a short yardage power back and a top 15 defensive end. I am not a cap guru but I would have gone a different route, stockpiling picks trading overrated players. I would trade Dak for two firsts in heartbeat and I actually like the guy and believe he is a capable QB.
