Just let him try out.. That's all I want.

If he is no good in TC and Pre-season then cut him but the dude is one of the all time greats for this team and deserves better. That did not end on good terms at all.

How on earth they can give Jason Witten a big press conference when he retires and just kick Dez out the door 3 or 4 months into Free Agency is beyond me.
Big truth

The fact that he's still been a Cowboys fan after how it ended sort of made him look better in my eyes. He loves the team. Doesn't really want to play anywhere else. If he's not on a big contract, and he's been humbled to the point he knows he won't be the #1 WR here, and Dak is ok with it, why not give him a shot. Much rather a 32 or whatever old Dez than a 38 year old Witten

translation i love football and the cowboys... did anyone say witten was "broke"

No b/c even morons know Witten came back to Dallas b/c he sucked at broadcasting, and our group of TE's was so bad that he was still the best of the bunch. Whose Dez gonna replace? He was as slow as dirt for a WR when he left and that was 2 seasons and a torn achilles ago. Sure he wants to be a TE b/c he can still outrun most TE's but can he block a 250 lb LB? Sure, lets get Dak killed and put Dez on the end of the OL.

I have no problem seeing if he can win a spot on the roster. At this point, he would be cheap and grateful for the opportunity. What I don't want is for him to come back and start trash talking.

If he helps the team win a Superbowl then I am all for it. He has heart, great in the redzone and a veteran. Dez would be a great redzone threat and a chain mover. Heck, I bet he would have better numbers than Witten.

I am all for bringing Dez back. Screw Garrett.

And what if he is the reason the team doesn't win a Super Bowl again? Are you going to be okay with that also? After the fact.

No thank you. His mouth can go poison some other locker room.

Practicing for next season when he'll be catching passes on his couch.

On point bro, he would definitely help fix the drop the issue and help move the chains on 3rd down.

I wouldn't mind him back at all but MM's first directive to him should be "Be passionate without being an azz"

He would be a locker room problem. He will come in wanting to be a leader and no one will want to hear it. If he could be cool and quiet then maybe a try out. But I have a bad feeling and I like him.

And that will make us underachieve unlike last year....oh wait....
