If they win then they can be themselves. It's hard to watch ego maniacs, attention seeking, Instagram stars suck on the football field and then give themselves a nickname. I wish they put more into getting turnovers, making tackles and keeping the other team from scoring then coming up with some stupid nickname.

Win on the football field. These guys think winning the social media battle is more important than winning games.

but that's an exaggeration by folks, you really believe they put more into the name than they do in trying to be better on the field. surely you don't believe that. the nickname is most likely they do in their own time, if you want them to stop doing other thing. then stop having them deal with Charities, going to hospitals, signing autograph at events. then they should do nothing but football 24/7

The appellation sounds like something teenage fangirls of Justin Bieber would say.

The thing I dislike about it mostly—besides the reason I’m not a flashy guy by temperament—is that it’s primarily for image and it seems to promote individualistic culture in a team game. It’s fine if it’s an embellishment of exceptional play. Then at least you’ve earned the right for the glitter or the bling. But if you don’t live up to the label or just plain stink, the flash only enhances the embarrASSment of yourself.

Hot Boyz is a lifestyle?
You mean, like politicking to be selected to the Pro Bowl?
It only took 3 or 4 guys to drop out for him to make it... smh
Begging to be a "team captain" instead of earning it?

Not sure what their lifestyle is supposed to be but I know there
were several games where I'd say they looked like a Hot Mess.

It's a twisted world these days, where those who defend a ridiculous
self promoted nickname picked by overpaid and underproductive players,
yet a guy like Jeff Heath plays with injuries to both shoulders and gets
bashed repeatedly by "fans".

Just shut up and play. Earn the accolades. Become a champion.
Then you'll get your silly nickname... and there's a great chance it'll be better than
Hot Boyz.

Them Hot Boyz had best enjoy it while it lasts. There is a new sheriff in town, and he's got a new DC alongside him who is going to work the living daylights out of them Hot Boyz while demanding accountability, discipline, determination and execution. Whoever doesn't comply will be given a Hot Boyz pink slip out of town ASAP!

I don't know why people get so upset about it.Let these guys be themselves. These guys don't have to be who you think they should be.
I think it's because they are playing a game of make-believe where they are superstars on an awesome defense and reality is quite the opposite. There's serious work to be done and these guys don't seem to know it. It's one of the primary issues this team has year to year to year,,,, no hunger, no focus, and no success yet they're treated like rock stars.

I would love is McCarthy came in and said, "First rule of McCarthy Club...no HotBoyz. ..you start winning and playing to your potential and you can call yourselves what you want."

This group of Cowboys is a bunch of trust fund kids living off what their predecessors did.

The 90's Cowboys still run things and these guys ride their coattails.
