I worked in a restaurant outside Houston in the 90’s and Dusty Hill came in almost every weekend. We got to know each other well and I became his personal/requested server after a short time. I knew what he wanted every time and it got to the point that I never had to ask what he wanted to order.

I will never forget:
Started off with a rusty nail followed by domestic beer
A half-dozen oysters
If he ordered dinner, it was the stuffed flounder.

On one Christmas eve, he came in alone to wish us well and he gave me a gold ZZ Top emblem to hang on a chain. I still have it to this day :grin:

I went to a lot of concerts in the 80's, but there was a 3day period where we saw The Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Rainbow, Saxon, Riot and my ears were ringing for a week. My hearing has literally not been the same after that.

I was at this show in S.A.
