If Troy Aikman was drafted by the Bengals or the Lions, he’d likely not be in the half of fame. Those 3 rings had a monstrous part in getting him in

Roger Staubach is still in the hall of fame if drafted by any team in NFL history

Since the only QB the Cowboys used the first pick in the draft was Aikman, that is who it should be. For all those that say Staubach, who was a great QB, that would waste the first pick in the draft seeing that he had 4 years of military service to complete before he could play. Staubach wasn't injured while performing his military duties but he could have and that then could have been a complete waste of that first pick. There's a reason the Cowboys used a 10th round pick on him . If after 4 years he wasn't the QB they thought he would be or gets that injury I mentioned that's just a 10th round pick they wasted.

That is ALL speculation and supposition on your part. I do agree that Staubach could of ended up in the HOF if was drafted by several other teams, but not ANY team. On the other hand Aikman may have been the "IT" that pushed the bengals or lions to championship level and he still could have gotten in the HOF. In any case it's just conjecture either way, yours or mine.

I'd go Staubach he wasn't brittle like Romo and was far more mobile than Aikman. After Staubach I'd go Aikman and then Dak.

You could argue if Aikman was on the Bengals or Lions he'd have far better stats too. If Dan Marino had Emmitt and this offensive line his stats would've took a hit.
