Did you guys know Romo though 09-16 won 15 games?

Dak certainly wasn't perfect, but his receivers, at times, dropped more balls than one could realistically expect an offense to overcome. Some of those passes were hard to make catches, and some were right where they were supposed to be. I'm just trying to be fair here, because while Dak didn't carry the team, they didn't do much to pick him up either.

I think they should wait and see what the Big Mac Regime can do with him before deciding his salary.

100% agree!

Not the most trusted bunch. I want to hear some defensive players come out and say it because those were the ones giving up 30 points a game to Vince Young and David Garrard.
I get it but they weren't the defensive side weren't the ones who got handed a different playbook but their coordinator turned coach.

It does when the results are the same regardless of who’s under center.

not really. new coaching staff as well. I mean if this is really a Jerry bashing thread than I guess you got me, but otherwise it’s what it looks like to everyone

I won’t speak for the OP but it appeared to me to be a double standard thread that turned into an excuse thread which ultimately has turned into the proverbial Dak vs Romo thread which basically is what we do in the offseason but OP can answer for himself

I don’t follow. His win/loss record is still won of the best. Not sure I follow what you’re getting at.

I’m saying a “QB W/L record” is literally the dumbest statistic in all of sports.

Even baseball has gotten away from the importance of pitcher W/L records in the past decade as a primary criteria for awarding the Cy Young because it doesn’t actually speak to individual performance.

Last year all we heard from the Dak Boyz was how superior Dak’s “W/L record” was. Then of course after this season when it gets brought up the same folks demur.

It’s not even a bash Jerry thread. It is what it is. Garrett was Dak’s coach and he was also Romo’s. That’s the link to why this team can’t overcome beating a team with solid coaching.

That’s what I’m saying though. If you brought up his W/L record as a “Dak Boy”....why wouldn’t you still do it? His record is still good.

It's amazing how Romo is still polarizing on this team .

I think you can tell the story of the Cowboys without giving him a second thought

It is very strange. Romo used to need defending because he was hated by a fraction of the fanbase who claimed the team could never win with Romo as a QB. So debates were had and people would show others made mistakes which contributed to losses and the team didn’t just lose because Romo sucks.

Now those same reasons used to show Romo wasn’t the main reason the team lost has turned into this narrative that Romo just never had a fair shot to win, had to carry the team, never had a defense or running game, never played for a good coach, and virtually nothing was his fault.

It is crazy.

What did he do in 2016 when he lost Romo once again for the season?

He had a caliber starting QB in Dak. Point is if Garrett didn’t have a very good starting QB the team wouldn’t win 5 games. Yet we see plenty of examples of teams losing their QB’s with below average QB’s taking over and still compete. See the Steelers of last year. There are plenty of examples.

Hahaahahhahahah

3 Pro Bowl OL, Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn, Witten in his prime, Marion Barber in his prime, Felix Jones spelling Barber.

Hhahhahahahahahahaa

Terry Glenn? You mean for a half of season that Romo started in 06? How many games did Romo play with him in his career maybe 8 total? You’re forgetting Glenn missed the 07 season.
