I think bringing up “W/L record” for any QB is point blank stupid.

It was paraded around for Dak at the start of the season because up until this season Dak didn’t have comparable raw statistical totals to bring up against other starters in the league.

Of course, after this season the Dak Boyz have abandoned that course of action and are now trumpeting his passing yard total for 2019 as the end-all, be-all.

That’s just how it works.
I agree w/ your first sentence.

Does this mean anything?
I think it show what most of us already knew. Tony Romo was a good stats bad team guy. He showed it over and over again. We were always let down by him in most big game situations. He never elevated the team. When I think of Russell Wilson I always picture him carrying the team. Romo is a better commentator than Qb. This is not a pro Dak take.
If there is a way to search through all my posts. You would find the consistency.

Quarterbacks don't win or lose games by themselves.

Most players will have a poor record against winning teams, because winning teams by definition do not lose much.

And now we have a 16 page explosion of people who apparently don't understand the basics of a team sport nor a win-loss record.

Anyway, I think Dak has proven himself to be above average, and I felt that the system here, was wasting away Dak like it did Romo. With that said, this season proved that he isn't quite the messiah that some of his fanboys think he is. That whole Dak is clutch notion has been disproven.

Agreed. Wasn't there like 3 straight seasons of 8-8 during that span ? (not gonna be shocking that majority of the seasons being medicore record wise is gonna translate to "your team doesn't win much against good teams")

By the looks of the list......seems like maybe Romo wasted some of Garrett's years too.
I ask this because Dak gets the credit for this teams lack of wins against playoff teams this year. But Dak had the same head coach as Garrett......yet....its Dak's fault?
From my eyes, I have never seen Romo throw as many badly placed passes as Dak. That's all I'm judging. Innacuracy is Dak's middle name. Screw stats, situations, conditions, etc.
Try figuring how many games Dak took the lead in the last 2 minutes and the defense let the opposition march right down the field and win. I remember a bunch with Romo. Since Dak had not thrown a TD in the last 2 minutes until his 41st game, it shouldn't be too hard.

Never been much of a Romo fan but to give a fair assessment it would be better to knock off years 15-16 for everybody. He played what 3 games in 15 and a series or two in 16?

This was the early OTJ period for Garrett. The team had an average defense, at absolute best, and a head coach who was in over his head. When Romo was on the field, he wasn't the problem.

It’s been disproven by one year out of 4?

That’s all it was. Some guys are trolling talking about my intent wasn’t to bring up the double standard when it came to both guys. Instead of addressing the topic at hand they are trying to derail it by throwing insults and name calling.
