a good overall career QB who had great memorable SB run and moments, but not a career Hall of Famer. ... imo

Has never been an All Pro, much less NFL league MVP.

this is not crème of the crop.... this is not Drew Brees, Brady, Warner, Favre, Montana, Young, or even his broham Peyton.

if people are basing Eli just off those two SB wins over Pats, then they would have to consider another solid career QB such as Jim Plunkett in that same HOF talk as he's won two SBs as well..
Neither one is not.
Ha, good post. Kinda like saying Garrett should be in the Hall because he has two rings. :muttley:

then yes, that caps a good NFL career, but totality wise that doesn't make it crème of the crop QB,(jmo) ...and Plunkett's two SB wins were against two legendary NFL head coaches in Dick Vermeil and Joe Gibbs.

Not every QB in the HOF is the “creme of the crop,” not even close.

Multi championship QBs are super rare, they're not going to be excluded from the HOF unless they're an extreme outlier like Plunkett who never made a single Pro Bowl even (Eli made 4.)

Eli was in NY for 16 years. The Giants had a winning record in 7 of those years. As a starter he was about 0.500. 1 winning record in his last 7 years. 5 times out of 16 years the team won 10 or more games. Guy is NOT a HOFer.

Do the Giants have a Ring of Honor? They could always give him that. I think he's earned that even if he doesn't get into the HoF.
