WOW what an embarrassment! I turned it on watched about three plays and that's all I needed to see. So I guess it's no longer tackle football folks just wrap him up and wait for a whistle, actually just put two hands on him because that's all it takes. I've been saying it for years get rid of that ridiculous game because it's pointless because not one of those players gives a ****! Oh and one more thing there were a lot of empty seats too.

I wish they would get rid of it.

If they want to select the teams each year as an honor--after the season, not the 1st 8-10 games --then fine.

But when guys start making the team and getting to put "Pro Bowler" on their resume when they are only there because several guys ahead of them backed out , are playing in the SB, or are injured....it's just a total misrepresentation.
And then there's the game itself.
Can't stand it.

Yup your right going to the pro bowl has gotten so watered down that even Cooper and Smith made it after having a mediocre year at best!

I enjoyed it. Company paid for me to go (living in Orlando).

Free food, beer. My son enjoyed the food more than the game lol

Oh there was a time when it was game on, of course I'm going back a long time. I remember one year when it was so competitive Randy White and Marcus Allen got into a fight on the field, you wouldn't see anything like that now!

If you recall that far back then you should know how the Pro Bowl game has evolved over the years.

Mitch Trubisky was a Pro Bowler last year.
He seems like a nice guy, but come on.

Back in the 70's when football players didn't make as much as they do now, it was a game; oftentimes a dirty game.
After the Cowboys beat the Broncos in Super Bowl 12, the Pro Bowl erupted when the AFC accused the NFC of blitzing- not allowed because of the offense's lack of time to prepare.
But Harvey Martin just winked, grinned, and said, "I didn't see no blitz."
But then the difference between what the winners made and what the losers made was a big deal.
Even when Troy Aikman played, he began to turn down Pro Bowl invitations because of the hitting that took place.
In the 70's, though, I can remember watching the players covered in mud and dirt from where they played so hard.
I think a lot of scores were settled there that players had to wait to settle until that game.

True and there was this divide with AFC and NFC players. You figure early on after the AFL and NFL merged there was still talk of who the best was.
