You have a point

The concept and awkwardness of "QB wins" is even more whacky when we make it wins vs the better teams. That he even further magnifies the need for a good overall team. The exclude one the years (2007) where he actually did have good players around him....just seems odd.

But you're right, compared to some of the other threads we get, the bar is low.
Very low. Very very low.

I don’t disagree about the concept of wins. I think the quarterback effects them more than any other position on the team but at the same time you can lose with great qb play. See Dak in the Vikings game last year.

To the best of my knowledge, the only "agenda" is that some people don't want to hear more hype than is warranted. I'd say most people here realize Dak is a pretty good QB, but he's not as good as some people build him up to be, at least not yet.
Yea..... But I have not read, heard or seen anyone overhype Dak and enshrine him into Hall Of Famedom prematurely. All I’ve witnessed is strong fan support from those you all accuse. So what’s REALLY the issue here? I really don’t understand a Cowboys fan being upset at other Cowboys fans for supporting the current quarterback. That’s strange. Unless of course there is some type of agenda.
Please explain this to me?

Romo also got to learn under Sean Payton as well. With a hall of famer in his prime as well in Demarcus Ware. This romo didn't have talent around him is the stupidest narrative on this board. His O line had 3 pro bowlers on it as well.
Yep. But let them tell it. Romo was Superman and carried a team of bums to mediocrity!!! Hahahahaha. These clowns are hilarious

I'm pretty sure one of Romo's teams had a record 13 pro bowlers on it in the same year...so yeah this narrative is a dumb one.

Please explain to me what you're trying to say. What exactly is this "agenda" you're seeing?...or hoping to see?

What's your agenda against Romo? Is it the same one you're trying to assign to the people who don't think Dak is as good as some people think he is?
No agendas against Romo at all. I actually regarded him as Staubach 2.0.....
Spent $250 on his jersey and all. But at the end of the day his career is over and we only have 2 wildcard wins and stats to show. I am not upset at anyone who supported Romo tho. Never have been. Why? Because I supported him as well when he was our quarterback. Ya know? That’s what fans do. So why are you all upset with COWBOYS FANS WHO SUPPORT THE CURRENT COWBOYS QUARTERBACK?

I’m not trying to say anything. I said what I said! Straight like that. I asked you a specific question. Questions are answered. Not questioned. Either explain why and how Supposed Cowboy fans are upset with COWBOYS FANS who support our quarterback as a member of the team we love? Please answer that or move on.

I'm not upset with fans who support Dak. I support him myself. I also see that there are things he needs to work on. He showed noticeable improvement this season in his footwork, accuracy, and anticipation. Then when he faced a good defense, he seemed to forget what he learned. I'm hoping Big Mac and his crew can help him get it back on a permanent basis.

It sucks when someone makes allusions that you have a particular "agenda" when it's not true, doesn't it? It's a cheap way to try to force people to agree with you.

How could I possibly know the minds of anyone who isn't me? I can't, any more than you can.

When receivers drop passes it helps the defense too ya know? When your line isn’t as effective as it once was the quarterback gets pressured more. When your running backs and Veteran TE fumble on key drives that’s gonna have adverse effects too. Not to mention bad play calling and in game adjustments. But hey!!! All those excuses were valid for Romo but don’t apply to Dak.

Have you ever seen me say Romo was perfect? Of course not, because I never have. Have you ever seen me put all the blame on Dak? Of course not, because I never have.

I've even gone so far as to say Dak was the best player in a particular game, when it happened to be true, IMO. I blame WRs when they drop passes, and OL when they whiff on blocks. I blame the defense and ST when they suck, which they did a lot of this season.

It's actually possible to point out flaws in a player you like.

Don't reply to girlsgonewild. If you have certain viewpoints he will try to instigate and get you benched or banned. Best to just ignore him. He did the same thing on the official forums.
Yea. That’s the move they all try to pull when cornered. He can’t explain how and why so called Cowboys fans get upset with other fans who support the quarterback of the Cowboys. But he chose to speak up and then tucked tail screaming he doesn’t know what goes on in their minds... Hahahahaha another simpleton bites the dust. Hahahahaha

Ok. That’s fair. So why would any Cowboys fan be upset with another Cowboys fan because they support Dak? Why would labels and names be attached to those of us who ride with our current quarterback? What makes Dak so unworthy of support in the minds of certain so called fans? I’m sure you know because you chose to be their spokesman. Please elaborate.

I'm telling you that I don't believe it's what you want people to believe. As for what they do believe, I imagine it's different for different posters. There are a select few who have an unhealthy and undeserved hatred, and I assume at least a couple were just so pissed off that Romo got replaced that they won't ever accept Dak. I don't understand vitriol enough to explain any more than that.

Garappolo's contract paid him $20 million this year after an initial hit of $37 million in 2018. He is set to receive $26 million in 2020. Mahomes is playing on his rookie deal, which will probably be redone this offseason making him the highest paid player in the NFL.

Although I agree that it is easier to build a team when you have your quarterback on a low-end deal, I don't believe there's evidence to say it's the key to winning a Super Bowl.

OK. Well, I guess I'd ask who the last team was who one the Super Bowl with just a really good QB? I honestly don't know. I am a believer in cap management and team structure. Can you win a lot of ways in the NFL? Yes, you can. Can you win consistently and do the numbers show that it is the better way to do it or do you look at doing this in a more balanced, team oriented way? I believe the answer to each of those questions is No and absolutely, more balanced.
