...Well, they have molded a Favre and Rodgers. The process must be good.

i wonder if this will be one of those "future" coaches he talked about...1 on offense...1 on defense....who will be tasked with studying plays...what works...what doesnt....both for home team and opponents.
maybe someone for analytics?

Not a bad move. People think the Cowboys are hiring too many coaches, but in reality Tolzien and Rob Davis are the only ones taking positions that didn't exist in Dallas last year. And both have enough familiarity with McCarthy to help communicate with the rest of the staff and the players.

We wanted a new culture. 18 of the 22 current staff members are new. Mission accomplished, in my opinion.

OK I know people have been wanting Jerry to step back for years now, but he needs to step in and stop this B.S.

I mean what the hell are some of these coaches going to be released at final cut downs? Is this an audition type of deal or what?
A good thread to figure out who’s ignorant about football ^^ and who isn’t.

Agreed fellow CT dude.

Wasn't it 2015 when we traded for Cassel after Romo went down and Weedon sucked...What did Matt say, something like he couldn't find anybody to coach him.

Also, extra coaches probably help during training camp and pre-season when we have 90+ players. Coach a few up who could be diamonds in the raw, but we didn't have enough hands on deck to weed through the trash.

I wonder if some of these guys will be doing more analytics than coaching. Maybe Jerry said you can hire whoever you want as coaches but didn’t want to shell out for an analytic group so McCarthy has decided to hire a few extra coaches to do it.

Exactly what I think is happening........Jerry perhaps said we already have an analytical dept. Just bring in a couple of your guys to training and supervise our people the way you want it done.

The ratio of coaches to players is fast approaching 1:1.
And if it helps reach the players on the roster, who cares?

Garrett's staffs were relatively sleek and we all see what that accomplished.

I don't care if they hire 53 coaches. It is not my money.

Aren't we going a bit overboard with the excessive coaching hires?

Hello! There is one coach for every player on the field when they line up after the kick-off. Jerry is already selling time shares on his super yacht!

Every team does this lol.

Tolzien's probably just going to be charting plays and helping with film. It's not like he's going to be teaching Dak mechanics.
Yeah this isn't a big deal, it's the equivalent of grad asst at the college level

Want some analytics interns? Complexity Esports is right down the hall on the left. At the Star and already have a sick LAN setup. Plus the logo.
