Doing a thing in a way you know doesn't work would constitute "wrong" IMO. I mean, you can be positive while the house is burning down around you. You can say, well, at least I'm not going to have to worry about fixing the roof anymore but your still gonna end up burnt to a crisp. Yeah, you can be happy 24x7 but that doesn't mean it's right.
Further, I can't blame the fan base for taking a "Show Me" attitude. We've seen this before and we've heard this kind of talk form Jerry and Co. in the past. Proof is in the pudding. If you would rather believe it, that's OK with me but I don't blame on fan for not buying in. It's a Show Me thing for a lot of them.
No problem with that.
That’s just it, though, there’s no way of knowing if something doesn’t work every single time. Success come from the “perfect storm” of multiple factors—some of which is beyond a person’s control. Belichick is the GOAT among coaches, but he flopped in Cleveland. Brady’s the GOAT QB, but was only a 6th rounder. Freddie Kitchens was a great assistant, but was horrible as a HC. You’re 100% right that many fans have a “show me” attitude, and that’s fine. But no one is wrong for wanting to wait a little before being depressed about 2020.
