Just me but if I want my starters on the field lets say 75% of snaps, that 25 %snaps on the sideline will likely be 2nd, 3rd or beginning of 4th periods. In other words, give them enough breathers BETWEEN quarters so they're good to go by 4th periods. This was always a critical talking point for John Madden during his days as an announcer. He's very quick how long a defense was on the field during the first half of a game. Good defensive coor/position coaches KNOW their player's conditioning/stymie.

Not all players handle fatigue during a game the same. Some shut down, some just go through the motion but believe or not some actually get stronger. Landry once said the thing he liked about Tony Dorsett was how he got stronger during the 4th period. So players getting tired is human nature, coaches have to make they are doing a job at managing it.

Oh, I paid plenty of attention last year. And yeah, he played a high % of snaps but also tapped out quite a few times as well in critical situations.
And he helped them get to those critical situations. If he wasn't on the field so much, they may have been in a situation where it didn't matter who was on the field.

100 Million Dollar Man DLaw played like 62% of snaps. I'm a fan of rotation but that was a joke. Easy way to get more value on that contract is more snaps.
62% does seem to be way too limited, especially for a player who is good both as a pass rusher and against the run. If he were more of a specialist (like Quinn, for example) it might be different, but Lawrence can be an every down, every situation player.

Wow, this is refreshing. Any possibility that he can coach a certain RB as well?
you mean the RB that has the MOST carries the last 4 years of ANY back in the nfl and had 300 carries this year to Henrys 303?..

right... he barely comes off the field, EVER hes a 3 down back that catches passes and blocks a lot..most teams rotate their backs with 2-3 backs..Zeke needs blow comes out every now and then for blow and because pollard screws up its on Zeke..DUMB

dude carries the ball A LOT..he simply takes himself out for a quick blow or to shake off a hard tackle like theo one people keep referring too..ridiculous..

get past it jeez:facepalm:

Just teach them to do what other teams do when your tired, lie down and stay on the field, then limp off 30 seconds later, especially if they are rolling all over us. Give the whole D a breather and then come back in the next play.

We saw so much of this last year, yet never did it ourselves. Part of the rules, so use them.

Hopefully, on the offensive side of the ball, Zeke doesn't come out on key downs.
right... he barely comes off the field, EVER hes a 3 down back that catches passes and blocks a lot..most teams rotate their backs with 2-3 backs, that Mosert kid had only 139 carries this season , 179 carries his entire career!,n 5 years!..Zeke needs blow comes out every now and then for blow and because pollard screws up its on Zeke..DUMB

dude carries the ball A LOT..he simply takes himself out for a quick blow or to shake off a hard tackle like theo one people keep referring too..rediculous..

Tired does not equal heat stroke. Heat-related illness is way more likely to happen during practice than in games. Having said that, NFL practices aren't what they used to be, so the risk is even lower. Scheduled water breaks, no pads, etc. it's the same in HS football now. My son's school only goes helmets when the heat index is above 95. No more two a days in the dog days of summer.
I know but it goes back to you should never tell someone else what their body can take. Overexertion puts a strain on the heart. I've had to cuss out my bosses and ExxonMobil personnel to give guys breaks. And you'd think ExxonMobil knows better. Especially in 100 degree Texas heat. So it just strikes a nerve with me when someone tries to tell another guy what his body can take. I freaking hate that.

You don’t think he would take the heat conditions in consideration? Of course he would.
I had to take a step back and calm down. That one line just struck a nerve from personal experiences. We had a guy get hospitalized for four days because of ExxonMobil and their B.S.

I blame Marinelli, giving everybody stupid nicknames, for this current Hot Boyz thing.
He empowered this!
If anything else, he empowered them to be anything other than the space monkeys they are.

They are the all singing, all dancing crap of the world. And they need to be very, very pissed off.
