On this date? Answer: Martin. Luckily, some of his teammates have time to strengthen their resumes.

We need to get back to the business of putting our players in the Hall of Fame with some Championship Hardware. DeMarcus Ware had to leave and go elsewhere to get his ring and it looks like Witten will go in without that added weight of a Super Bowl ring.:(

Witten without question.
Martin, Smith,

maybe Zeke after a few more years on his resume..

As for someone like D-Law unfortunately at his position he will have to continue to produce as he did prior to signing the contract, no one remembers how hard one may have played... stats matter.

Pro Football Reference has a Hall of Fame monitor, where they score players based on their history. The score isn't perfect, but it's largely in line with reality.

Zeke has the most recent rookie season of any RB on the list. Since 2010, it's Zeke, Gurley, and Bell. It looks like kind of a crappy decade for HOF RBs. Even go back to 2005, to give a decade 5 years to establish some kind of record. Peterson is really the only guy. Then McCoy and Lynch.

A real eye opener. Of legitimate HOF candidates from the last 15 years, only Lynch has a championship. I think that's what is keeping down the scores of recent top RBs. Once upon a time, RBs won championships.

Zeke's production has been on a fairly steady downward trend, both for yards/touch and yards/game.

But Gurley and Bell dropped off even more. I'm doubtful of Zeke, Gurley, and Bell. But if it's somebody post 2010, Zeke looks like he's got the best chance.

Witten is the only dead certain lock, assuming he actually is still active. Zach Martin is near a lock, but may need a few more years under his belt to show more longevity. Tyron Smith should have a good shot at it, but I'm not sure he is a lock. Travis Frederick is on a very good path, but he needs to get some more productive years under him, especially after having Guillian-Barre.

Witten, Martin and maybe Tyron Smith if he can crank out another handful of years of very good to great play.

Martin has been an All-Pro every single year. He's an all decade guard.

Too early to say, but can project to be: Zeke.

Interesting comparison....
Cowboys HOFers who played or coached by eras:
-1960 through 1988: 29 years- 10 HOF members (Lily, Staubach, Landry, Schramm, Hayes, Dorsett, R. White, Renfro, Wright, Harris) Drew Pearson should be in and still has slim chance.
-1989 through present: 30 years- 7 HOF member so far (Aikman, Irvin, Smith, Sanders, Allen, Jones, Johnson) Witten, DeMarcus Ware are locks...Maybe Zack Martin

More on the PFR Hall of Fame Monitor.
https://www.pro-football-reference.com/hof/hofm_RB.htm

IN:
Witten is 5th all time TE.
Zach is the highest G going back to 2007 draft class with Marshall Yanda.
Tyron the top T going back to 2007 Joe Thomas.

Frederick has a tough row to hoe.
He is the highest going back to 2011 Kelce, but they're both in the running with Maurkice Pouncey and Alex Mack. Trouble is that the standard for C's is so high. Only 7 in the HOF. Pouncey looks on track. Kelce next. Frederick was set behind Kelce by his illness. And Kelce getting a ring. Frederick has to start beating out Kelce for All Pro to have a chance. Travis 1, Kelce 3. That's the way it goes. Seems like some C wins the All Pros of his era and makes the HOF.

Lee?
I liked Lee in his prime but he’s not even remotely in the conversation for HOF
No possible way

were you kidding/trolling?
If so, it worked

Witten is a lock though

On the PFR HOF Monitor, you see how much SBs matter.

In recent years, you've not non Pro Bowl guys having a fair chunk of score because they play for NE.

RB James White from NE wasn't even a primary starter in any season but he's got 3 rings so 22 points. Zeke has 29. I don't think White has a prayer. You have to be good at some point. But his score indicates how much rings push good guys over the top.

I agree
Witten is the only one at the end of their career
Smith is getting close and is probably the next closest to a lock
The others all depend on their careers
To say right now no one else is a lock including Martin
I look at it if their career ended today and if it did Zeke sure wouldn’t, Martin would not be a lock with a short career
If their careers ended today it’s witten and likely smith
