It wasn’t .

Here’s your post:

“If that game was won, the road to the Super Bowl wasn't an impossible reach.
We could have been the Bears that year.”

Nothing about Romo’s bundled snap, etc.
Lmao, nevermind dude.

Maybe I Misunderstood.
I looked like you were saying one or more of the following:
  • we were one and done in 2014 or
  • It was the only playoff win by a Romo led team or
  • Romo ( or maybe Dallas?) choked in 2014
Not sure. I mean, all three of those are false.
I must be missing something

Of course. The NFL counts them as playoff games. It’s part of every teams playoff record.
So if one team has a bye week and wins one game and then loses but one team wins it’s wild card game and one more game and they too lose in the divisional round......would you say the team that was the wild card team had a better run?

It wasn't a singular measurement. It was a comparative measurement.

In case it hasn't been brought to your attention....this is how it works. Let's say Mahomes is 0..as in zero. That is the starting point. If Dak were not as good as Mahomes....he would have a negative rating.

You with me so far?

Okay fine...let's say Mahomes is a "10". Some might say in more ways than one. :) ) And someone feels Mahomes is more than 10 times the QB Dak is...well..Dak sits at less than zero.

I am not saying I concur. Just trying to give you some basic metrology about it.
lol - let's look at that. To start with, this scenario is based on Mahomes having zero talent, which is obviously not the case, but going further, to say that Dak isn't as good as Mahomes indicates Mahomes has some level of talent that is better than Dak, and some level of talent is, by definition, more than zero.

I think everyone considers a wildcard game win a playoff win.
The NFL itself and everyone else

But your question is somewhat legit
Seems like earning a bye week should count for something. But it doesn't....except the benefit of a week off and a home game.

Yeah I know I get it. Not taking anything away from a wild card win. I always looked at it as a chance to get into the playoffs but I know I’m probably the minority there.

Forgetting the polarizing romo, Mahomey might be the best I've ever seen. But chiefs can't fall behind early like their last two games. 49ers defense is brutal. Should be a great one.

Face it Romo was arguably a top 5 quarterback when healthy. It's just unfortunate the cowboys organization waited to long to provide him help until injuries took a toll on his body. Granted he did have 2 good years where the team was solid on both sides of the ball.

It's just a shame we never got to see what romo could do with the team Dak was handed and currently has. Romo went against Jason calling his own plays and what it sounds like he didnt have the healthiest relationship with Jerry. Throw in the fact Prescott Jerseys were selling like hot cakes $$$$...bye bye romo

Wade Phillips agrees.

I’m sure he meant that as a compliment. Certainly no need to bring Romo in for pure passing and accuracy. Covered that with Rodgers. Romo wasn’t a runner; covered that with Wilson. So, while I’m guessing he meant Romo’s spin move and still looking downfield, I’ll play along as a “hater” anyway.

Maybe the Romo comparison was meant to be a choker and turnover machine who doesn’t win the big game just to play a mind game with Mahomes. That Sherman is a very smart Stanford graduate.

I wasn’t a Romo homer but I get the comparison.

Mahomes improv could easily awry too.

Supercilious as I thought.

You totally missed the real point of several of my comments. I would totally laugh at and admonish myself for a failed "joke"...but it's ME without humor or humility?

As one poster above suggested..often accusing others of something is indicative of doing the very same thing yourself. "Supercilious"? Really? And you claim I'm the one feeling superior to others?

LOL...love the internet and people. Always an education.

How about the "10" part? You know...when I said you would not accept zero and raised it to ten? What about THAT part?

To remind you, Here is what I said that you totally ignored...you are too easy dude...I predicted you would not accept zero..and went to ten...and you skipped right over it in your penchant to argue with people.

Here is what I said...so what about the 10?
