Jerry won’t call.
He knows jimmy won’t ask him to be the one to induct him.

But... if he was going to be the one he would want jimmy to call him to ask.

shame of it is... if they would have kept it going in 90s... Jerry would be a no brainer to induct him.

Do not like to defend Jerry but I would like to see things from his perspective for one sec. Multiple people have said that Jimmy used to disrespect the heck outta Jerry and call him a dummy and a whole bunch of demeaning stuff. Guys who’ve written and reported about this team for years have said it.

My reaction isn't that its a feud, its that Jimmy left 26 years ago. Bill Clinton was President when Jimmy left, its not like Jimmy's time with the Cowboys was last week.

ONLY because it makes Jed look good.........he and 25 years know the truth.

IF Jed CARED about winning he would've swallowed his pride, as if he has any, and let Johnson do his thing and tout " I hired him" the fans and the team would be better for it.

Instead.......he holds a grudge because he's been a complete failure since.

Maybe. It’s still not accurate to suggest Jerry’s ignoring the HoF nod when he published an official congratulation like he did.

I get it, but goes both ways. If jimmy never bothered to apologize, why would jerry. I think that’s how he sees it, not saying it’s right

Idj.......at this point, I highly doubt he even personally crafted that.

And to not contact him.......... personally. Via phone. Morse code, smoke signals?

Jerry has been......well, not very personable. You can smell the arrogance.

Oh, I’m sure he didn’t write it. He made a public statement and considered that good enough. I’m just saying he didn’t ignore the appointment outright, and that’s the direction the thread kind of went in.

He and Jimmy aren’t close. But they don’t really need to be at this point.

There are comments made from the heart and obligatory comments made because it's the expedient thing to do.

Yes, I understand there’s a difference. I’m saying the “obligatory” comments were made, and so it’s not cool to just act like they weren’t. If there’s bad blood between the two on this topic still, after all these years, why does Jerry need to cal him personally? He acknowledged it publicly right after the nomination.

They won Superbowls together. Didn't win squat without each other. It's weird that most of y'all's default setting is to blame Jerry for any and everything. The Jimmy Johnson on Fox now is NOT who he was as a coach. He was an arrogant, self involved *** just like Jerry. It's not hard to see that both were to blame and both were insulting and disrespectful to each other. They don't even care anymore and have moved on. Why can't fans?

Jerry Jones is a sensitive, emotional, petty little *****. That said. I love the Cowboys. So I have to deal with him.

“We're so happy that the Hall of Fame has recognized Jimmy Johnson for what he is. A great coach," said Jones, who hired Johnson as Cowboys head coach after buying the team in 1989.

"To Jimmy I say, 'The stars were aligned and our dreams came true when we joined the Dallas Cowboys. And on behalf of the Cowboys, and our fans all over the world, I say congratulations Jimmy. We're proud of you."

That’s fairly nice, for a scumbag.
A great coach...and GM

True.

Im not sure why we’d expect Jerry to contact him personally. He made an official statement on behalf of the Cowboys.

I think the bigger subject is will Jerry induct him into the ROH.

That would be the classy thing to do.

Its offensive b/c Jerry's never shied away from a phone or anything that projects his voice. Suddenly, he's issuing congratulatory statements through an impersonnel press release? The snub is pretty dam obvious............and the fact Jimmy is going into the HOF as the HC of the Dallas Cowboys and missing from the teams ROH fills in the rest of the gaps for you.
