Clearly evidence of McCarthy being a puppet and Jerry meddling and controlling every decision

Well, except for the 17 examples when he didn't

Time will tell how good this staff is at schemes and making in game adjustments but the biggest improvement right out of the gate is that McCarthy is a least competent at clock management. Garrett was absolutely TERRIBLE in that aspect of the game.

I'm still not sold on Kellen Moore as co-ordinator ., it feels to me as another of Jerry's pet projects ..., but MM should know what he is doing .

I certainly wouldn't have chosen an old retread who couldn't do any better than linebackers coach at this point in is career. Nobody wants Mike Nolan to run their defense.

Go get a young up-and-comer. Geez, go get Wade Phillips. Somebody young who's been around a dominant defense, or somebody older who has coordinated one.
who???

How about anybody who isn't 60 years old and hasn't ever built a top-level defensive in his three stints as a defensive coordinator? This guy was a linebackers coach last year. Nobody wanted him for DC the past 5 years..

love what Big Mc has done thus far.
can't wait for training camp and the games to begin.
my favorite hire...other than Big Mc...is Mike Nolan as DC...son of long time Landry asst Dick Nolan.
kinda cool to have a connection to Coach Landry back on our side of the field.
also love Joe Philbin as OL coach...gonna be fun to watch that group...as always.

again....who?
if they are out there and so obvious then name one.
Nolan aint chump change and maybe we'll FINALLY generate some turn-overs.
who cares how old they are as long as we win.
and how the hell did having a young DC like Richard...or LBs coach like Bloom help us last year.
maybe we need some fat bellies and grey heads around here...because skinny and young'ns damn-sure didnt help.

Marinelli created bushels of turnovers during his career.

Nolan never has. Never.

His words are cheap.

You need to watch Rod's defenses in Tampa. Some of the best in NFL history.

Nolan's defenses have been crap.

But we'll see.
i had no problem with Rod...but it was time for a change.....and our defenses havent been among league leaders in take aways in a long time...Nolans have.
but...we'll see.

Coaches are rarely the fix, but I definitely wouldn't have chosen a defensive coordinator who has a history of mediocre defenses in his career. He's never had a dominant defense.

McCarthy is just....whatever. Nobody was beating his door down. He's fine, but he's not a franchise changer. I think we're going to find out he's Jason Garrett 2.0.

We now have 20 new coaches, and yet Kellen Moore is still the playcaller. Which is fine, but is it different?

Positional coaches are a dime a dozen, and they all preach the same thing. The key coaches are the head coach and coordinators.

Thats McCarthy, Moore, and Nolan.

Meh.

agree 100 percent about Nolan.

his coaching record stinks.

I dare anyone to deny it.

This forum will turn on Fat Mikey too if he can’t take us further than we’ve been. They turned on everyone else.
Yup, that's just the nature of the beast. There is nothing wrong with that either. Cowboys Nation has high expectations.
