dang , he couldn't move the bag . isn't that a strength and conditioning problem ?

Lower body strength issue, and trying to compensate by being out of position and/or dealing with an injury.

I put the majority of the defenses problems (including Jaylon's) on Marinelli/Richard. Jaylon is best when he is attacking. He didn't do that at all this year. He was constantly moving backwards, which tells me it is the scheme. If people are going to dog Jaylon for his poor play, then they need to include LVE (who was much worse) and the entire scheme that they were using.
I've said both LVE and Smith need to be replaced. I agree of scheme issues, but the last thing we need is for a bunch of Brandon Carr's scattered on defense talking about scheme will make them great. I don't buy LVE being able to play without risking serious injury. His performance was down big-time when he could play.

No one has been more undeserved as a Pro Bowl player. Completely meaningless tackle total, especially for a Defense that was a joke most of the season, mainly because of his regression. How do you see the videos posted on here and see anything to be admired? He quit on so many plays, worse, it looked like he couldn't do anything even if he put the effort in, because one of his legs isn't working like it should.

You have a brand new staff on D in here that has no connection to him or drafting him. If they see a guy who won't, or worse, can't run, he will be limited or cut this season.

I know it’s just the ProBowl, so who cares, right? But still
In a universe where what happened to Robert Edwards can happen to anybody who shows up to these things, I'm not holding it against anyone who phones it in when they take part in these things. These things just don't matter.

Jerry has created a legion of fans (smartly so) that have fallen in LOVE with the narrative of the Cowboys. This is nothing new. In an era where less and less people are attending games in person...Jerry's stadium is standing room only...even for a team that has not won in 25 years...because he understands that convincing fans...of ANY team...that Cowboys games are the "place to be"...regardless of who you root for...so he does not care if you show up on Sunday to root for Dallas...or the opposition...just as long is their are butts in seats.

I bring this up to address the legion of fans that dismiss this video as just a "pro bowl" activity. The essence of football is blocking and tackling. If you are a MLBer. In the NFL. And you can not hit something and drive it.....THAT IS A PROBLEM. This video is just one of MANY examples that this guy is a fraud. In a game...he can make an excuse that he is being blocked by a 350lb offensive lineman. Or he can "gang" tackle. But people have said keep him clean....and let him hunt. Well....he is clean in this drill..and the force he hit was NOT pushing back. And I doubt it weighed 200+ pounds (the size of NFL RBs). He got STOOD up by a bag...that was NOT pushing back. The fact that there are people defending this....is just more proof of Jerry's genuis. So be careful when debating with people that are in a state of "blue and silver" hypnosis!

So did I. This is why I know the people defending him did NOT watch him play. They watched the END of plays...which is generally when he showed up. Anyone who WATCHED him play....and defend him....are as big a reason as Jerry for the last 25 years!

This X 1000. And if the new staff cannot take him off the field...the Mike McCarthy regime will end the same way all the regimes post Jimmy Johnson have ended. If he plays like this in training camp and pre-season...and retains his starting spot....we will know Jerry is STILL calling the shots!
I'm very confident in Big Mac as our HC and I believe that because of his hiring the status quo has vastly changed for the better. Now if he allows ONE shred of manipulation by Jerry during free agency or the draft then there'll be no need to wait until training camp in order to witness Jaylon or any other players continue to steal money. I'm anxious to see what Big Mac has in store for the next 3 months.

There is a LOT that goes into being a QB...so no....something like this would not be a good indicator of QB play. But something as basic as hitting the bag and driving it.....that is a simple drill to indicate whether or not you can make contact and drive with your legs. All it did was CONFIRM what a lot of have felt based on what we see on Sundays. And it actually should convince a lot of you all that cannot see it. People say get him some space eaters so he can stay clean and attack. Well....the bag had ZERO traffic around it...the area was COMPLETELY clean....he hit it and got stonewalled. Now does that say anything about his ability to make calls....or diagnose a play? No! But it does give us a good indicator of his "strength". From what I have observed...his brakes are almost shot...which is why he is constantly overrunning plays. For those of us that once played sports (high school or college)...we know what it is like as you age and discover that landing when jumping becomes an adventure. And stopping once you reach full speed is a process. This is due to loss of cushion between joints.

Like I said...I hope we hear Jaylon has been playing with an injury all season...and is having a procedure this off-season. Because if this is who he is....changing schemes will not matter.
BINGO!!!!!
