Eason with pick 17? If you want to do that then trade down to the end of the first round.

I’m really starting to like Davon Hamilton and he’s definitely a riser, started the process as a 5-6 rounder and now I’m starting to see him in the 3rd in some mocks. 2nd round may be too rich for him but if he’s there in the 3rd sign me up.

Allbright is also reporting that the Buccaneers have been showing a good amount of interest in Washington Huskies quarterback Jacob Eason, who recently declared for the 2020 NFL Draft. After finishing 7-9, the Buccaneers will select 14th overall in the first round.

In his most recent mock draft, Pauline slated Eason in the second round, being selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 45th overall. This would give the head coach Bruce Arians and the Buccaneers a developmental quarterback, who can learn from Rivers for at least a season or two. However, if Eason is able to impress NFL scouts during his predraft workouts, they may need to consider trading up to select him earlier.

Do people realize that drafting a QB in the first round accomplished nothing and could set the Cowboys back 3 years? Let's say they draft a QB, do they sit him behind Dak? If so then how does this pick help the Cowboys now? It doesn't? Do they let Dak go? If yes, then there is no chance the Cowboys make the playoffs in 2020. In fact, as I posted once before, since 2015, 15 QBs have been drafted in the first round. All but one were drafted higher than 17. 6 of the 15 have been to the playoffs, but none in their 1st year. * were drafted in 2018 and 2019 and only 1 has been to the playoffs. 3 will have played in a Super Bowl after this year when Mahomes plays for the Chiefs. In other words, If the Cowboys let Dak go and draft another QB in the first round, there is a very tiny chance they will make the playoffs in the next 2 years and less than a 50% chance they make it to the playoffs over the next 6 years!

Everyone who is on this dump Dak and draft a QB bandwagon seems to think that the guy they would draft will be the next Troy Aikman or at least will be better than Dak. But the data shows there is a much greater probability that the guy you want to replace Dak is going to be Steve Walsh.

Hey if you want a QB in this draft, fine.

Eason isn’t the guy you take at 17. It’s a reach and he has serious mobility questions in a league where it’s becoming obvious there is a premium on having a QB that can move around.

The only pick I like is Mims and he's never falling that far

I don't understand the desire for people to draft a QB in the first round. This is not a rebuilding team.

Simply because folks have fallen in love with certain "pet cats" and they swear up and down that, even though they didn't set the world on fire in college, they can come in and instantly improve certain positions in the NFL. Eason showed me NOTHING that screams Franchise QB. I don't care how strong your arm is...……….did he make his team considerably better than it was before? Nope.

And to make it worse, that QB being Eason.

I mean I could see you grabbing Herbert or Tua because some teams have high first round grades on them. But Eason? What?

I can't wait to see how this guy pans out in the Pro's.

I prefer a mobile QB but this guys arm is just on another level and he makes very difficult throws that translate to the Pro's.

I got a feeling he is going to get drafted by a pretty decent team like the Patriots or Steelers.

He just lacks hype and mobility.

He also makes a lot of dumb decisions because he thinks he can throw a ball into any window. The knocks I have read on him is that he can get loose with the ball and some throws he tries to make in college will be nightmares in the pros.

Would I take him? Sure. At 17? That would be pretty silly IMO.

I think he'll go 1st round but it will probably be on the back end unless someone trades up.

Jordan Love to me looks like a bigger risk.

Everytime I watch one of Eason's games on youtube there is a few throws that most guys just can't make even in the Pro's.

His release is pretty quick too.
