yes they have the ablity tpo score chink yards case I point down 24 in ONE QTR came back to take the lead by halftime, down by 17 came back quickly.. we ran a lot to protect the defense and run clock to keep the defense off the field because like last year once again you leave them out there too long and they will give up chink yards and points..

the chiefs ability with 2 very fast WRs, one good possession WR, and a TE that can go down field can score from anywhere FAST..thats the difference..yes they have a wide open offense and do not have to protect their defense which is left out there sometimes longer because the chiefs can score so fast.. so yes better defense, faster scoring offense, and coaching..

give that to 2014 Romo and im betting he eats it up, we all know hes not Mahomes but has the ability to compare , why would mahomes say it if he didnt also see it? you are arguing with yourself because mahomes said it so you cant tell him hes wrong about himself lmao..

dude give it a rest..trolling is tiresome..im off this bad train this AM.. moving on
We ran a lot to protect Romo and the defense. Also why we drafted Zeke.

Move on though. You’re trying to rile me up because I defend Dak on this site but it’s not gonna work. If you can’t state your point without throwing personal attacks or without getting offended it’s not gonna work with me. Just not.

Why does this board hate Romo so much? It seems like the general public is finally appreciating him. Here, the hate is still strong.

There’s more Romo lovers than haters on this board. Dak in only four seasons has taken more abuse on this board than Romo ever did. This board is loaded with Romo apologists who defended him no matter how many costly turnovers he committed. You never saw near as many threads with fans wanting to get rid of Romo like we’ve seen with Dak. Every week at least a couple of threads pop up with fans looking for a better option at QB than Dak. Some of the names that keep coming up to replace him are laughable!

Romo was and is way more popular amongst this board/fan base than Dak. There’s fans on this board that will never forgive Dak for taking Romo’s job and getting him cut. The majority of this fan base doesn’t want to pay Dak. You would have to go back to the days of Quincy Carter to see a Cowboys QB who’s taken as much abuse from the fan base as Dak. The only reason Romo is taking abuse in this thread is because Pat Mahomes is being compared to him. Not once have I ever watched Pat Mahomes play and thought he reminded me of Romo. Now watch some idiot claim that makes me a Romo hater. lol

I agree with you, but Romo had an issue with throwing interceptions at the worst possible time. I mean, you couldn't make it up, the times he would throw them were completely bone headed at typically crucial parts of the game.
Another myth. Romo had 24 4th QB comeback victories in his career. He was bound to "choke", i.e., not win, or throw interceptions at the wrong times in some of them, just like any other QB, simply by probability. Unless someone can show how Romo "choked", threw more interceptions, or failed to rise to the occasion more often than any other good QB, all of which was because it was his fault, then this is just another concocted Cowboy "hate" story generated by the media that gets passed around effectively as propaganda.

Is there a good time to throw one?

So when you guys talk about his comeback victories are you guys talking about these?

Because in this compilation its full of bad teams and a lot of it is running backs including Marion Barber who's putting in work. What are you guys qualifying as comebacks?

Well earlier in his career Romo use to throw some in the 1st half of games and people would call them "punts" basically. Which I guess technically they didn't hurt him but I think you'd rather have 3 points than 0 points at least. But it comes with the territory when you have a gun slinger.

Regarding late in games at worst possible times......It just seemed that way to some because our hopes were so high. Each time it happened--and actually, it was fairly rare--it counted 10 fold to some. Games like at the Jets (a non-division, no conference road game) all of sudden became the super bowl. lol

In reality, he was one of the best at late game heroics--by all measures. High number of late came come-back wins and very high late-game QB rating.

I remember the Denver game where there was a clear shot of Romo's foot being stepped on that led to an INT and people still gave him crap for it. Narratives die hard. The best thing Romo did for his rep was becoming an announcer, his optics away from the star is getting him a lot more respect.

Dude, I’ve been on this board since 2009 and you’ve only been here less than 9 months. You’re the one who hasn’t been here long enough. Lol I’ve been logging in here every day for 10 years. I know a lot more about what’s been posted about Romo on this board than you. He’s been out of football for 4 years and is still worshiped on this board. Your opinion is based on what you’ve read in this thread.

Yep

All-Time 4th Qtr Come-back Wins (based on leading team to comeback wins per games started)
  1. Matt Stafford (surprised me a bit)
  2. Johnny Unitas
  3. Tony Romo
  4. Russell Wilson
  5. Matt Ryan
  6. Joe Montana
  7. YA Tittle

I have a full list. didn't count guys who only played a couple of games. This is for those with

I like the comparison. Mahomes is definitely better, but what would Mahomes look like with Garrett as HC and OC calling plays?

What would Romo have been like in KC with an offensive genius for a HC and kelcy and Hill to throw to?
Not only Kelce and Hill but every receiver on that team runs sub 4.4. They are fast and explosive, which makes me think Dallas would benefit from a 4.2-4.3 guy...... that can catch
