Did you think it was offensive PI?

I hear some 49er fans are complaining about that offensive PI call that killed their drive. I thought it was a good call. It did look like he pushed off to get separation.

Yes, it was.

Losing fans are going to whine. Cowboys fans do, Titans fans did, Chiefs fans were until about 2:44 left in the game.

It was technically the right call. If a Cowboys receiver was subject to the same call in the biggest game of the year, I would have lost it.

Sorensen was right on him. I think it was the right call.

Dude pushed off twice actually.
Of course SF fans will argue, but I think if we’re being objective it was a fine call.

That call won me halftime in the pool. Loved it.

Absolutely it was OPI. Textbook OPI actually. Arm was fully extended while pushing off.

Good call. Should've been called on Rudolph in the Vikes and Saints game as well though. No consistency.
That’s the problem with judgement calls - they inherently will be inconsistent.

Judgement calls can never be totally eliminated, but can be reduced. Example was the “force out” on a reception; it was based purely on an official’s judgement whether the receiver would’ve come down inbounds without contact by the defender. Now it’s either you come down with 2 feet or you don’t, no judgement involved.

I would’ve called OPI on Kittle and Rudolph.

Playmaker got called for it in SB XXX and he even agreed with the ref after the call.
The call on SF was spot on, guy played him well and he caught it with space only bc he pushed off.
If that’s not a penalty then he is uncoverable.
Whiners gonna whine but they should really be mad for their HC bailing on their run game when it was clear Jimmy G is barely average QB who wasn’t gonna get it done.

JG barely average? Outside of the team meltdown on that last 4th down play how is throwing a dime to the TE on this penalty not getting it done? There was no need for a push off and that play pretty much killed their chance.

All the punts and incompletion clock stappages thus allowing KC to score 21 in the fourth...
Part was SFs stopped running the ball and Despite KC stacking the box, still couldn’t keep the chains moving
