lol.. Nice rebuttal.
Opinions are like a lot of the posters on here! LolEven Romo is laughing at this thread's topic.
This was 2 years ago Dak vs Carr: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...scott-wholl-end-up-with-more-super-bowl-rings
That being when it was, I'd love to see another one, I bet Dak gets more votes today. Rivers looked off last season to me and I'd take Dak over Carr for sure at this point.
C'mon man if you gonna talk about me just @ me.Opinions are like a lot of the posters on here! Lol
Laugh all you want by try and pay attention.
3-5 before acquiring him.. 7-1 after..
Look at when we did well this year. When Amari started sputtering so did the entire team.
Amari is one of the few explosive players we have.
Our defense doesn't make big plays... Our RB stopped making big plays... Nobody else really makes big plays besides Amari and this league is all about big plays.
Jeebus ........ This will teach me for taking anti- Dak trolls off ignore.
The team went 13-3 without Amari in 2016, and it would have been 14-2 had we not sat out starters the last regular season game. Accordingly, Dak has won without Amari.Sure.. Amari made a pro bowl with Carr and part of why Amari does so well here is because he can get good matchups because of Zeke.
Amari makes Dak.. Don't get it twisted. That has been clear since he got here. When he isn't good the team isn't good.

Still, it's not as if it is a shame for a QB to get a big boost out of a strong receiver. Brady has gotten a big boost over the years from receivers like Gronk, Moss, Edelman and Welker. Rodgers has gotten a big boost from Driver, Jennings, Cobb, Nelson and Adams.
I'm not suggesting Dak is at the level of those guys - he's not. But the point is none of them are doing it absent the support of talented players around them, so let's not hold Dak to a different standard.
Teams always have to adjust to circumstances. That also isn't just a Cowboy thing.Yeah and Zeke was one of the most explosive players in the NFL.. Zeke being explosive has gone bye bye.

I think we are a little better equipped now that Gallup has developed some, but Amari certain is still a key. If we can get a little more in the passing game from the TE position that will help as well.I know.. That is why we acquired Amari and now we go as he goes. I don't see us winning a lot of games when he doesn't produce.
Watched Rivers play several times this year. The dude is done. At least as a top flight QB anyway. He was awful in the games I watched.

I have to openly laugh at anyone who would take Rivers over current Dak
haters need to simmer.
only dude possibly available I’d take over Dak is obviously Brady and gamble on a 3-5 year run with him.
Rivers is still far better than Dak based on acumen alone, and I suspect that a lot of his problems would magically clear up standing in a clean pocket while staring at Giants and Commanders. However to be clear, Rivers definitely no longer has a “cannon”. A lot of people have noticed that his arm strength is not what it was and worse, declines as the season goes on. He has been able to make up for it with his uncanny timing, but there’s no telling when it will completely dry up.The word is the Chargers are hot for Herbert and letting Rivers walk and while I admit I didn't watch him play in 2019 as much as I have in the past, he is still one of the most accurate passers and is that guy that can make every throw. He does throw more picks because he does have a little gunslinger in him but he's also 6'5" with a cannon.
I don't know what Big Mike thinks of him but with this offense around him but I think they could get him on a shorter term deal than Prescott. Garcia and Gannon both became better QB's with a change in coaching and were allowed to use their skills.
He is 38 and I don't know how much he would cost but it is an option if Prescott is too set on his contract demands.
I guess the question comes down to which QB you think is the better one but with these weapons around Rivers, it intrigues me to think of him as the DC QB for 2-3 seasons. He's all about getting the ball out and into a playmaker's hands.
The other QB FA's, Brady, Brees, Bridgewater, Keenum, Tannehill don't do a lot for me but Rivers is that guy that has seldom had a really good team around him and he had to carry it too often. I also don't think Brady or Brees hits the bricks and I don't see Bridgewater as an upgrade over Prescott but he might be more affordable.
