I've said it before, and I'll say it again.. The biggest mistake this team made last season was catering to Zeke with a new contract when they should have wrapped up Dak and been done with it.

If it gets done its going to be an expensive and ugly contract and the Jones family have only themselves to blame for letting it get to this point.

At this point, I hope they tag him and some stupid team comes along and signs him so Dallas gets two 1st round picks from them. He was a 4th round pick and they got more than their money's worth out of that pick. Getting some high picks in return would be a very nice overall scenario and give them the ammunition to maneuver around in the next few drafts to get a young QB and have him under a rookie deal for 4-5 years. I'm ready to head down this path instead of overpaying a slightly better than average QB like he was a top 5 super bowl caliber QB. I'm so ready to turn the page on a player who is obviously thinking more about himself that the team. I don't have any issue with players seeking all of what they are worth but I have a big issue with players demanding the same money as other players who are obviously much better and have the accomplishments to prove it.

Jesus, 3 minute clip with 20-25 seconds worth of decent commentary.

The Cowboys did try to re-sign Dak last year, and rumors on both sides got leaked. Who is to be believed? Answer lies in the middle. We heard term issues, 40mil wanted, they are close, they aren't close etc...

Maybe the Joneses really wanted him to cave into a hometown discount. Maybe Dak's agents were trying to reset the market.

They will have to tag him if there is no breakthrough in the next ~37 days.May not be for long term, but they won't simply let him walk. Even if MM had the idea of him not being the answer.

It's a business and both sides will leak more as the days go on. Don't get sucked.

Paying Zeke is going to haunt this team for years. Just wait...it will get worse.

It would be great if we could trade him in the next few years for a first rounder and go get a cheap RB and start allocating sources to Defense like a championship team would do.

I'm all for keeping Zeke but i'm shopping him every offseason because RB's do not get better as they age.

Just reminds how bad and stupid that Romo contract was.

What made it bad was the Cowboys restructuring it two years in a row, 2014 and 15. 2015 was for re-signing RoMc and signing Hardy.

2014 they threw 12.5mil over the remaining years and in 2015 they threw 16mil over the remaining years.

End of 2016 they cut him...

If Dallas franchises Dak, shouldn’t that sell the notion that the FO isn’t sold on him completely?

IMO not at this juncture, only if July 15th passes and they don't reach a long term deal.

This F.O. moves at a glacier pace when it comes to re-signing guys.

D-Law folded and finally got re-signed.

I know, I mean the Niners defense is very good ... oh.

I mean that Chiefs defense is clearly where they have put their priority and why they just won a SB title??????

Shannon is damn smart, and he is normally spot on. I hate when he plays the character( which is every time he talks about the Cowboys.) He knows his stuff but is just too damn annoying. He is NOT like this if he is on a different show being interviewed.
