How many teams have it that bad now days at QB? Not very many

The College game is producing quality prospects every year and QB play as a whole is pretty good.

Well.. It's not going to get any better. We're a veteran team and we just paid a RB 15 mill a year.. Nobody really does that anymore that wins championships but hey we did.

Also, most teams that win titles don't pay their WR's like we do because elite WR's don't translate into championships in the salary cap era.

We're not in a situation like the 49ers and Dak's contract just makes it even more difficult to build a top tier defense.

I just don't know how we're going to win a championship having 2 of the 3 things we need which is a cheap QB, top tier defense, and quality coaching.

Cheap QB is out the window... Top tier defense? Maybe if we get lucky in FA and draft we can piece a top 5 D together but Byron Jones is a big loss if you want to be an elite D.

Coaching? Let's see how McCarthy does without a HOF QB.

That's completely false. Last offseason Dak, on his own dime, paid any RB, TE or WR to go workout and get better. Dak paid for airfare, food, hotel and anything else. Anybody saying Dak didn't improve last season, much less from his rookie, is completely worthless on any football topic and should be ashamed of their clear hatred of the guy on a personal level.

That's completely true. Dude still suffering from the same problems he had on his pre draft scouting report. Spare me. All you people with this hatred business need to get your very little kids logic out of,here. There is nothing to hate about Dak sir. He's not that good at QB. I guess your next retort would be money. While I'm not doing as well as him I've got enough that most aren't doing better esp those saying I'm hating so I'm more than good with that. Again what is there to hate on Dak about? Y'all have to get off y'all knees worshipping another human smh.

Prescott is not worth top QB money. Zeke wasn't worth his contract either but it's too late for that now. If Prescott won't agree with a reasonable salary, and he's unwilling to settle for the franchise tag, then cut him loose. I like the kid but he's not worth top 5 money.

I'm not worshipping but Dak clearly improved just this offseason on mechanics not including much other areas. Are you so blind you can't see it........ hence the reason you get called a hater. With statements like he hasn't improved since his rookie season is complete BS and not even close to being true.

He hasn't improved because if he did why does he still have the same problems consistently that got him drafted in the fourth rd in the first place? Yep according to those who worship another human I'm blind. I get called a hater because honestly you people are very limited in your thinking. If I don't agree with your bs I'm a hater but y'all can't even find a reason why I'm a hater beyond I disagree with you. That's what happens when y'all on y'all's knees worshipping another human. I disagree with the barely mediocre player, but your premise is still spot on. I think he's way above average. Even paying a "way above average" QB prime-time-Tom-Brady money is going to handicap us...bad. I'm at a different spot on the scale than you are, but completely agree the performance doesn't warrant a team-depleting salary.

Slightly above mediocre is what I said.. Meaning he’s somewhere between 10-16th best at his position.

Yeah, sorry, I totally misread that and there's a big difference between what I picked up and what you said. We probably aren't even that far apart on where he ranks. I'm probably between 8-10. I think we both agree, if Dak gets some massive percentage of the salary cap, he needs to be able to carry a massive part of the game by himself. I like him. I think the arrow is pointing up, but discussions of 40 a year...or even close? I don't really have the words. I'm just not there.

Because Dallas fans have been so fortunate in the past with QBs Like Meredith, Staubach, White, Aikman.

A lot think good or great QBs fall off of trees. There were some serious, serious ugly and dark times before Romo got it going.

Folks hung up on top 5 money when in fact in 2 years what is top 5 money now will be top 10 if that. Jackson,Mahomes,,Watson,will all get paid handsomely then add darnold and Allen will get paid as will Murray in a few. Unless the CBA comes back with something unexpected the qbs will cintinue to get paid and what seems like a large expense now will be a bargain. Just like Daks rookie deal.

It's called hate because there is video evidence of his involvement especially in his mechanics. Don't take my word for it do film study and listen to experts that actually have played the game and gets paid professionally to diagnose it. He improved on pocket awareness, not holding the ball as long, much better footwork. Improved accuracy on deep passes, the list goes on.

Not saying he didn't have his struggles, because at times he did most noticeably the last month or so of the season. To say he hasn't improved since his rookie year is a ridiculous and dumb statement that is 100 percent false. Dak never took a snap under center until he got to the NFL so even his scouting report isn't the same. You're called a hater because you make outrageous claims like this. Being a "realist" you would say things he has improved on because that's facts, not opinion with clear evidence to prove it.

Perhaps you just don't know how to watch film on QBs, that would explain that silly and false statements you make.

I remember Romo went through many years of being under-appreciated as well. Dak and Tony have different styles of play but that stubborn will to win and toughness they both have.
