Now whether you like the Mike hire and 19 other hires is still up for debate, but this team shouldn’t look anything like what we’ve been seeing. So when you think about the draft. You think about Dak, Zeke, Gallup, and Free Agency picture it with a whole new staff finally coaching them. Same with the defense and ST’s.

I can’t wait to see what this looks like, it’s been far too long.

Our Cowboys Nation nightmare is over. Now we will see what our young talent looks like when it has proper coaching.

There needs to be a new policy banning ownership from the locker room in the postgame period. Jerry needs to stop taking questions and making comments in the postgame period. We only need to hear from coaches and players in the postgame period.

As long as you don’t set expectations on dreams or fantasies.
So if my dream is for McCarthy to turn this team around by getting back to it's Super Bowl winning ways, I shouldn't have those expectations? I'm kinda sorta hoping that's what happens. I know Jerry isn't going to change the way he operates in the postgame period.

Open the window... let all the stench out..

Jerry agrees, it was all JG's fault. Pay no attention to that decade before JG came back, that Jerry hired him, and that Jerry is still the GM.

Having a dream or hope is fine. Setting expectations based on them isn’t realistic.

Well yes, if you think that just changing this staff gets this team back to Super Bowl winning way,, in your words, then yes you are suffering from what is being called...
CSCDS.. defined as Coaching Staff Change Delusional Syndrome.
If you just like change for the sake of change, then you are buying exactly what Jerry is trying to sell you,, put all the expectations and blame on MM,, because Jerry hired that man.
Jerry hired an excuse and sold it to the fan base, MM will fix everything and if he doesn't, don't come to me asking stupid questions, blame MM.
Jerry invested in JG for whatever reason for that period of time, which in football linguistics is like 3 decades at least, that's a lot of time people.
Humans really don't live that long, so Jerry essentially wasted about a 3rd of our Cowboy fanship life expectancy,, just trying to bring this into perspective.
MM and his staff will make a difference, but the amount of difference will be at Stephen Jones expense, and I don't think Jerry is ready to relegate his bloodline ties to this franchise.

We went from a Pop Warner head coach to arguably the 2nd or 3rd best current head coach and certainly the best available. I thought I saw more energy on this board after the change. I know for myself, who thought JG was a clown, I am finally excited about this team. First time since Bill left.

Rather than recognizing sarcasm when you see it, you read my comment and thought you saw someone that you could preach to. Save your breath, you're preaching to the choir. I know this team is still on the same loser boat as long as the ownership remains the same. No real GM means this sailboat has no sail. We can't get to where we want to go.

I can't help but notice the irony in this post.

I can't help but notice that you're unfamiliar with Russell's Theory of Types.
https://www.planetmath.org/RussellsTheoryOfTypes

Criticizing someone for talking about something and criticizing people generally for criticizing others for what they're talking about are criticisms at different orders of abstraction. Failing to distinguish between different levels of abstraction is figuratively and literally sophomoric, as in college sophomores still think it's a clever move but most people grow out of it.

It was a joke, bbdd. No need to get uppity. I knew exactly the point you were making, but the irony was still there, even if your intention was less derisive than those to whom you were referring.

I read through post after post since we made the change at HC and it is still as if JG is coming back. I, like you, still have this awful taste in my mouth from his stench. Thirteen years is a long time as a fan to suffer with the same message and boring conservative play. I think we’ve grown so accustomed to it that a lot of our post reflect that he and Marinelli are back.

But guess what? He’s the Gents problem now. Now whether you like the Mike hire and 19 other hires is still up for debate, but this team shouldn’t look anything like what we’ve been seeing. yes talk more about DAK, thats new we need many more Dak posts..

but you are correct toto much we are this and we are that posts when no one knows who WE are until this staff gets new team together and starts unveiling their plan..

My uppity wasn't targeted at you particularly. It's a general peeve of mine. Gets me grumpy. I took your post as an opportunity to clearly formulate my annoyance.

A guy walks down the street and punches a stranger in the face because he doesn't like how he looks. A second guy punches the first puncher in the face for doing it. There's not really a lot of irony there.

At least not enough for a chortling emoji. That did produce a little annoyance that was your very own. No biggy.

I appreciate that you responded to my annoyance without getting too annoyed yourself. I was on the fence about responding as I did as I also recognized that my response was a little prickly.

It's asinine to me that there are a fair number of people in here that have written off the MM regime before the guy has coached a single player here. It's even more asinine when you consider the previous coach and his results.
It's Jerry and his kids. I promise you we have been beatdown with 30+ years of the Jones family that everyone feels pessimistic about. He's the common denominator in the franchise.

I've read enough of your posts to find that one out of character, so I thought it would be better to make sure you understood that I wasn't putting you down, rather than escalating. It's all good, brother.
