It's been about money for some time in the NFL.. Almost everything is. Whether you are receiving it or shelling it out for something.

This is nothing new. Every player wants their payday.

On a terrible defense Jaylon was the only player worthy of a probowl
Which says just how poor the Pro Bowl is as a measure of "good." He was the 4th choice, it's not like he was voted in.

1st we had delawrence who held out, wouldnt have surgery till contract signed, he wasnt in shape last yr, so basically he wanted money wasnt till stephen jones called him got him away from his agent then contract signed 2. Zeke held out even though he was under contract, all that jerry jones did for him meant nothing, so zeke held out came in worst shape of his life, took him over a month to show something, jaylon smith got his contract, played soft, even changed defensive coverage, each time he did defense got burned for a score, smith over ran plays etc, played bad, 4th now u have dak who says its not about the money yet he says he wont come into off season condioning, wont work with mccarthy, who can make him a better qb like mccarthy did with montana, farve, rodgers, then each time cowboys go up from 28 to 32 to 33 then finally 35 million, dak's agents drives up price to 40 million. This team of zeke, delawrence, j smith and now dak has no inner desire to win championships all they want is money, not super bowls, nothing but MONEY. Has dak won nfc championships and super bowls? No, tell me why the heck dak deserves more money than russell wilson or tom brady or aaron rodgers? Dak doesnt, We had the game on the line in phily, even troy aikman said dak has got to make those throws dak did't. So now does dak deserve 36 to 40 million? His agent wants 38 to 40 milion, give me a break, get real, all dak has to do is get with stephen jones then call his agent in, a deal would be done, quit saying its not about the money, your showing it is about the money, this team has no heart, desire to win championships, only MONEY
This is too long to bother reading.

Please tell me how this is different from like 300 other NFL players.

This will not end.
It will not end when he signs.
It will not end when the season begins.
It will not end if he helps get the team to the NFCCG.
It will not end if he helps get the team to the Super Bowl.
It will not end the next season when QB's get paid even more.
It will not end.

We still argue about Romo four years after he retired.

They learned it from there owner and GM. Professional means you get paid.

Was it all about Super Bowls when Jerry fired Jimmy Johnson, ran off Bill Parcells, hired Jason Garrett with only 1 year experience as a QB coach as OC before hiring a Head Coach, or Kellen Moore as OC with one year experience as a QB Coach?

Was it all about Super Bowls when he let go 5 defensive players who just got Super Bowl rings with the Chiefs and the Cowboys need defense?

Jerry Jones has not tried for a Super Bowl since 1994. It has been all about the money to keep the Cowboys relevant and not champions.

A deal was in place for 35 million, dak's agent has gone up each time, when 28, 32, 33 was offered, then cowboys had a deal on table for 35 million, dak's agent went up again to 37-38, projecting what qb price will be not this yr but 2 years down the road, so it is about the money, not championships or super bowls, now you have a guru head coach coming in mccarthy, who taught montana, farve and rodgers, you would think dak would want to come in and work with mccarthy, but oh no, im not coming in till a contract is signed, i will do what delawrence did hold ou not have surgery till you sign me or i will do like zeke did who was under contract, fleece the cowboys and jerry jones for more money, so dak is telling cowboys i wont come in forget you and the fans, i wont practice in offseason, get timing down with wr's te's, etc work with mccarthy and kellen moore, IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY

Unfortunately our players' priorities seem to be in the following order: Money, their brand, social media followers, winning.

So true. It's also totally out of control. There isn't a professional athlete that's worth what they're getting paid.

Yet teams still build championships anyway. The problem isn't "kids these days" it's Cowboys management/past coaching not adapting to the current state of the sport.

His agent is doing a great job negotiating with a Billionaire. You have a salary cap increase, a possible new collective bargaining, and a possible lock out if a collective bargaining does not work that will lead to an additional game and larger player share as Yahoo, Amazon, and other media demand football.

As I said it is all about money for the Billionaire and it should be all about money for the professional athlete. Its the Job of the GM to manage the cap and assemble a Super Bowl team...how as that worked out for the Cowboys GM since 1996?
