I've hung off a few but never installed one.

And speaking of left over parts, and you were, the only time I put together a gas grill, I had left over parts too. Looking back, I assume at least one of them was to keep it from bursting into flames.

RGV, your post says good evening but the time stamp is 4:30am. Now if your group of revelers party's until 4:30am and that's evening to you, I am moving next door. They do it up right in the Valley now, don't they?

I haven’t been to the valley (southern tip of Texas) since early December CC. I love and miss it. I’d to move back someday but I would probably be moving alone lol.
Maybe the Mrs and I can compromise. We’ll move south during the winter months to escape the harsh winters of the Houston area.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who have stopped in to share with the others who partake.

Man, I'm feeling like this might be a nice day here. I mean, you never ever really know in this state but right now, it's looking nice.

I feel like some KFC. You ever just wake up and decide you just want something you know is probably no good at all? KFC!

Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, I hope you are all enjoying a good day today. If not, change it up!

Everybody, it's Thursday, finish up today and tomorrow is Friday! Be well everybody!

Anyone else curious as to what she was listening to?

LIES! Our imagination has you doing all kinds of crazy dancing with your bunny slippers on and the back up cats.

We can all thank your vivid imagination for getting you out of bed each day.
(Idk what she was listening to but she was gettin' it!) Honestly, I wish I had her courage and freedom of self. I'd really rather not be noticed and I'm not really that outgoing. It's easy here because I get to hide behind the screen and there's little or no chance any of you will ever meet ME. You wouldn't believe the courage I had to muster up to make my first comments on this site. At work it's just a job, so...kind of an act.

Morning, Pops and friends. TGIF! Okay, I need to know whether I've lost my status as a Southerner or not. When I cooked my grits yesterday I had 3 lumps in them. I seldom end up with lumps in it. Second, I did something that may scream Yankee to a grits purist. I added shredded Parmesan cheese to the bowl of grits. It was gooooooood.

Have a great day, Y'all.

Those people laughing at her in the background only wish they had the freedom to let themselves go like she did. She could have cared less what they thought or if they were laughing because she was laughing on the inside......and not at another human being. When you feel it, sometimes you just have to express it.

My wife spent her last 15 years in NIA, a body/mind dance technique that was developed in the 80's and I went to several demonstrations with her and was struck by one element of it, they were all happy doing it. Dance is a great expression of the mind and can free the soul.

Want proof, I don't care if you think you are a soso dancer. Next time you are feeling down, put on some music and just dance like that wonderful soul in that video. Express yourself. I guarantee you that when she stopped dancing and got back in her car, she was in a terrific mood. Every time you tap your hands to the beat, on move your feet or just strum your fingers, that's your body telling you it wants to dance, move to the beat. Air guitar is a form of dance, born out of the need to move with the music. I like air cymbals because I get to enjoy my cocktail while waiting for my performance and I do it with such flair, such panache.

Jan, you were apprehensive and reluctant to join here and share of yourself. Now, how do you feel? Girl, you need to dance! Too many, too often keep their selves hidden, don't look at me. Let me hide me within myself. That's OK but turn that self loose when you're alone and let her shine.

I do not have an opinion as I do not eat grits, looks too much like Cream of Wheat or Rice. I am a texture guy and that texture is a turn off. I never ate mashed potatoes until my wife put peas or corn or both in them. Give me a hot steaming bowl of oatmeal and I'll go hot steaming homicidal. Food like that just sits there if I put them in my mouth, I don't know what to do with it. Chew? Chew what? Should I just swallow it? Sorry, that ain't eatin', that's just swallowing.

And polenta? What the hell is that? Cornbread tartare?

Do Yankees eat grits? Let's ask them. Hey y'all, youse guys grit eaters?

I'll weigh in on the grits thing as a born-and-raised Yankee (always lived here within a 10-mile area). So anyway, my stepdad was from Mississipaaaay... and my guy was from Eudora, Arkansas... grits were in my world. Didn't care for them as a child since my stepdad MADE us eat them the way he liked them, with runny egg yolk swirled in, etc. I literally threw them up, in his car, on the way to church, an act for which I was soundly punished because I "did it on purpose". As an adult I made them for my guy. He liked them with butter mixed in, and sometimes cream. I like them that way, no other mix-ins. (Side note, never never never instant grits. You gotta put the "love" into them by cooking 'em up right for the ones you're making them for.) Haven't had them since he passed away...interesting I hadn't thought of that until just now.

Nah, you're still a card-carrying member of the Southern states. The fact you referred to it as grits and not polenta is a dead giveaway.

I grew up on grits. Normally, we had with a little salt and a pat of butter. And, then, one day my mother tossed in a little cheese (courtesy of a little old lady from our church)! It was great! My father, however, was less than impressed. He ceremonially pushed his plate away and ask, "Mother, just what is this?". He was not a SNAG - sensitive new age guy.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Welcome to the Weekend! Today is National Boy Scouts Day and National Kite Flying Day. I'll try to find a boy scout and help him cross the street. Have a great time flying your kites, folks. p.s. I forgot to mention yesterday that grits are fairly popular here on Grand Bahama.
