Football fans like the idea of more football. But do they really want more football? The next experiment begins in only two days. The XFL is back, after a 19-year absence. Fueled by the reality that people who will be placing legal sports wagers will need more sports on which to wager plus an investment [more]

No, matey. For me, NFL's allure is waning. Politics, arrests and penalty snafus.
XFL will rate slight higher than women's field hockey.

Football during Late fall and winter is okay but once the weather gets nice I actually want to leave the house on weekends and do stuff with friends and family (parks, bike trails, golf). XFL won't be a good enough product to keep me in the house.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I will watch it. If it is at least at the AAF level, it will at least be entertaining.

I liked the AAF. It was a fun distraction during the offseason.

The real issue here is that the stigma from the other XFL has to be overcome. That was a rasslin' clown show.

If they can prove they have sound foundational processes it could work.

From the looks of the coaches they have, it could make it as long as McMahon can deal with the financial growing pains.

As long as it doesn't dilute the NFL caliber talent pool.........several other leagues in the past have tried and failed.

The Dallas Renegades have a better shot at a championship in the next 12 months than the Dallas Cowboys.

If you live in the Metroplex, embrace it.

The only football I'm interested in atm. The Barclays Premier League/Bundesliga/Serie A etc. Also, this summer is the Euro Cup 2020. Go 3 Lions!

I’ll watch it. I like some of the rule changes on paper. If they work, the NFL will adopt them. Also, the NFL needs a minor league system badly. I know the Seattle team has some ex-Seahawks, former local college players, and former local high school stars that had cups of coffee in the NFL or were on a few practice squads.

Pete Carroll has already said they will be watching the Seattle team and other teams to see how the players are doing and they might turn into workouts or practice squad jobs, and maybe eventual jobs on the main roster.

Go Seattle Dragons!

Absolutely... I've lost my passion for the NFL so I give anything a chance

The most interesting thing about it to me right now is how many ex Cowboys there are. I had no idea Terrance Williams or Lance Dunbar were still around...

Never pay any attention to other leagues. Saw a few games when Danny White was coach of the Arizona Rattlers or whoever, but that's the extent of other leagues.

Thought I would check out the XFL if no other reason than to stop thinking about the NFL.

to close to the end of football, seems like another league that wants to take away the atteniton from the NFL as the MLB and NBA already try to do.

i’m tired of football now after the super bowl and college. now i am more interested in basketball and baseball spring training start this month. also hockey is going on. they need to make these other football leagues start later...after the nba and nhl seasons and before training camp or something maybe.
Nah... I'm never tired of football and neither are you. Why else would you, me or anyone else be here, right now, replying on a FOOTBALL forum?

I'll check out the XFL... let's see who the Texas teams are.

The only way this works is if they can get a partnership with reality tv to build the players profiles like the UFC did.

The NFL has college as a feeder so when guys like Zeke, Burrows, Mayfield and other college stars come out everybody is interested.

When it’s red team vs blue team and you don’t know anybody it’s hard to care.
