Zeke's contract was bad. Jaylon's was bad. Tank's was bad. Dak is about to be bad. The Cowboys are about to lock in the core of an 8-8 team and shed a lot of other talent to keep them together. This doesn't look good for the next few years. Hopefully the difference between Garrett and MM is massive and can compensate for the huge talent drain about to hit the team due to these deals. The team also needs a home run type draft.

Zeke is a top 5 RB who didn't play top 5 level football because he's too fat.

If he's in shape next year, he'll be great, if not he won't. This is actually very easy to figure out.

He is a contact runner, doesn't back down, and wears defenses down. If he wants out let him. It is better than an injury.

Zeke is putting up numbers comparable to HOF RBs after the 1st four seasons of their careers despite missing the equivalent of half a season (6 game suspension and 2 games held out by coaches in last game of the season). I hope he stays this average for 4-5 more years!

Not average, he's just not a game-breaker. He's the guy you want once you have the lead. Also, you can't discredit his pass blocking skills. Unfortunately, I don't think he's worth what he's being paid.

Zeke is a good RB just not great. He’s not a game changer or big play guy anymore. The ground and pound works until you get that one holding penalty or one negative yardage play. Cowboys need someone who can get chunk plays (maybe Pollard).

8-8 record in the weakest division in the NFL does give some of these statements legitimacy
