“Spirit of the DCC” Shines at Anniversary Gala

It was the largest gathering of “America’s Sweethearts” in history when a total of 234 former members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders reunited at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, October 8th for the ‘Spirit of DCC’ Tenth Anniversary Dinner. The special night was a gathering to honor the history and tradition of the group and reminisce on shared experiences.
The founder and first director of the DCC, Dee Brock, was on hand to share the story of the squad’s humble beginnings and rise to international acclaim. Paula Van Wagoner, the designer of the iconic DCC uniform, recounted her meeting with Tex Schramm in which she was asked to create a costume that would later be instantly recognizable around the world.
