Writing is on the wall for Jaylon.
Glad to see it...we use to hang to players we paid too long.
Say what you want about tthis draft, but having 2 guys that allow you to move on from Smith and LVE is not insignificant.
They are hoping Parsons will be a guy on defense like Pitts on offense. Teams will have to account for him and adjust to where he lines up.
Move on from them AND they’re contracts.
Oh man, Jaylon Smith is on the floor in a fetal position after taking a 1-2 punch to the nuts!
He's going to have to change his number after that shot.
I’d love to see LVE bounce back to form...then hopefully extend on a reasonable deal.
LVE playing MIKE with Parsons playing the WILL is scary...let Cox play nickel backer due to his coverage ability.
I can't see us cutting him this season , I really hope LVE gets healthy because of the two I think he can be a difference maker.....
I don’t know when it makes financial sense to cut him but I see it happening on that date.
Only reason I say that is dead money , his play is poor and his demeanor is worse
A healthy LVE is a starter.
Cox (if he wins the starting job)
Parsons and Cox could light a fire under Jayons arse and we may see a new and improved pre injury Jaylon.
You Jaylon haters can’t stop for a second. We will run a base 3/4 and we will need all our linebackers. Follow the money. The guy making most of the money will probably play the most. LVE and Jaylon will get plenty of reps. I think Parsons will be an outside pass rusher at the beginning the guy looks like a Ware clone.
Much like his 2020 season on the field, Smith lacks the awareness to
see the writing on the wall.
Oh, the irony of the Clear Eye View phrase... lol/smh
I won’t bash 54. I hope he can regain to form with the new help on this defense. Same with LVE
I love this
Quinn said it will look like a 3/4...I'll be shocked if we run more 3/4 than we do 4/3. We don't have the personnel to do it.
Parsons isn't a 3/4 OLB, he's an off the ball LBr that is really good at blitzing. He plays a completely different position than Ware.
If he can bring “intensity” to our defense along with his talent, I’ll be happy
Jaylon was a pro bowler in 2019. I'm not ready to give up on him just because he had one bad year(2020). There will be competition for jobs on Dan Quinn's defense. So, whatever happens, happens, and the best guys will get the starting jobs. If Jaylon ends up in that mix then he will have earned it. I truly believe this defense can be very special by the end of the seasons.
