I traded back twice, to pick #9 while securing several more second round picks and another third. Bosa dropped to 9. There were a couple more good trades on the board, but I couldn't pass up that value and I snatched him up. With my plethora of second and third rounders, I addressed every need. Cyrus Jones was just a throw in at the end, but he'd be a very welcome addition to the return game day one.

Round 1 Pick 9 (T.B.): Joey Bosa, DE/OLB, Ohio State (A+)
Round 2 Pick 4: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State (A-)
Round 2 Pick 7 (S.F.): Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor (A)
Round 2 Pick 9 (T.B.): Joshua Perry, OLB/ILB, Ohio State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 4: Devontae Booker, RB, Utah (A)
Round 3 Pick 7 (S.F.): Carl Nassib, DE, Penn State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 4: Sheldon Day, DT, Notre Dame (A)
Round 6 Pick 14: Cyrus Jones, CB, Alabama (A)

Man did you get a haul in that draft. Not a player on that list I don't like.

I did one of those the other night. I traded our 1st to the Ravens for their 1st and 2nd. They took Ramsey. I then traded our 2nd for Raiders 2nd and received their 3rd pick. This is what I drafted:

1) Jared Goff Qb Cal
2a) Kendell Fuller CB Va Tech
2b) Joshua Perry Ilb/OLB Ohio St
3a) Austin Johnson DT Penn St
3b) Alex Collins RB Arkansas
4) Bralon Addison Wr Oregon
6) Cyrus Jones CB Alabama

My final grade was an A but four teams had better grades thane me according to the points. A lot of those players will be drafted before the rounds that I drafted them in but it was fun.

Its all fun at this point. No reason to be too serious until the ratings are closer to realistic anyways.

Agreed. It's all conjecture right now. There will be guys who go in the first round that no one is even talking about right now. Particularly in a draft like this, where the upper echelon are not that far removed from the second tier, there is going to be a ton of movement.

I think Bosa is overrated but I would do cartwheels if that was our draft. I'd love to get Wentz in the 2nd and Booker in the 3rd but I think that is a round too low for each one.

I'm starting to think the trade down scenario is trading down to 10 or 12 to take Ezekiel Elliot, then trading two #2s to move back into the low 1st to take Wentz.

My personal opinion is that there is no read whatsoever on the draft board until about 2 weeks before the draft, but this stuff is a lot of fun to read.

If this was our draft Id be very happy. Wentz is getting a lot of positive press.
thanks for posting.

This.

Trading down and taking Elliott would be my plan but I may just take him at 4 if Goff and Lynch are both gone. Elliott would make this offense a powerhouse.

I know it's just for fun, but that is totally unrealistic. Bosa is not lasting till pick 9 and Wentz is not going to last till the second round

Seems pretty unrealistic now, but anything can happen between now and draft day. I guarantee there will be at least a hand full of guys who move into the first round who we aren't even talking about now, and a bunch of guys will drop.

Anyway, I took what the site gave me. Don't be a Debbie Downer.

Obviously an incredible draft, but firstpick is completely unrealistic. Still fun though.

Totally agree. I think if Romo and Dez were healthy this year we go 12-4 instead of 4-12. But even with all the injuries we had, if they had a back like Elliot from the start the team would have won 8 or 9 games even with all the other problems they had.

I'm probably one of the few fans who think we need a wide receiver. I'd take Derrick Henry or Alex Collins where Coleman or Perry are selected. But that would be a nice haul - a defensive playmaker, a running back who will allow us to return to the offense of 2014 and a future quarterback.

But this draft is unrealistic. Wentz is going in round 1. Book it.

Just a question. ......Trent Richardson was taken high and didn't work out. What are the differences you see in Richardson and Elliot

Great question, I wish I could provide you with an intelligent answer. :)

Richardson only played one year as a starter (Ingram's backup?) before he came out for the draft. You would think that there would have been enough tape to determine whether he was the real deal or just a one-hit wonder. On paper he was legit but there were questions about his motivation and he did go to a bad team. It is possible that the culture in Cleveland killed his spirit and it's also possible they did not use him well.

Dallas is not a bad team and already has a line in place that would enhance Elliot's running style. Elliot has been performing at a high level for several seasons. Is he a lock as a premier back? I guess not but I'd still take my chances with him; if he's special, he makes this offense great.

Elliot has elite change of speed and change of direction ability. He is a master at creating when nothing is there, but he can also flow to the hole and get downhill very quickly. Richardson was a one trick pony when he came out -- a one-cut runner who lacked the vision Elliot has to create and get to the next level. Elliot is also a very rare combination of size and speed, whereas Richardson was more of a prototypical power back coming out. Richardson had the 40 time, but when asked to change speed and/or direction, he loses a lot of steam and takes a few steps to get back up to speed. Elliot today, is a more complete back that Richardson ever was or will be.
