Houston at NE. Winner most likely to beatDenver and go to SB. Go Texans.

LA Rams at Chicago. Supposed to be frigid weather, does it really favor the Bears. Bitter cold is bitter cold on both teams.
Prefer Bears win, but what teams has a better chance to knock off Seattle. But if it is Rams and Seahawks, I may root for Seahawks.

Current weather at 1:45 ET

Foxboro: 35 deg, light rain expected throughout...poss snow/sleet

Chicago: 17 deg, cloudy, high wind, wind chill 3, 25% chance of snow

Both are better than some thought they would be, so there's that. lol

Statistically and historically, dome teams suffer some in the elements.
That's just how it has been throughout the years.
Doesn't mean it will happen today, and it can favor great defenses.

The Bears are a fun story this year, but I want the Rams.
Picked them to go all the way most of the year and their QB is our Highland Park homeboy

I'm torn on the Texans/Pats game. Drake Maye is a fellow tar Heel and I've followed his career since high school. But it's the Pats....ewww.

On the other hand, I really don't want the Texans to win a SB.
Way too much local, never-ending grief from that one.
And their fans are insanely obnoxious when they have anything over on the Cowboys. Maybe some here don't know this.

Thanks Jazz

I think Houston is going to stifle New England in their own house.

Some of these younger players though played college in cold weather. Such as CJ Stroud. So he knows what to expect.

Defense is going to have create turnovers--which is not a stretch.
Maye has not faced a D like this all year

Special teams may need a big play or two as well.
These colder weather games can favor a great defense. Depending the field conditions.
If field codintions get too slippery, that can favor the WR. As to route running. Unless the DB's and LB's are that good to and game planned for the routes.

It can help a pass rush though, as they know the angles to take to get to the QB, as opposed if the OL is prepared for that.

NE has had an easy schedule and has not faced a really good defense like the Texans.
NE defense also faced some inferior offenses.
