I recall Jacobs being a very good - and huge - back for a couple of years about 5 or 6 years ago, but after that he seemed to get hurt a lot. However, he was still pretty hard to stop after even after his peak years, and probably still is if he is healthy and in shape. If Coughlin is bringing him back, he must think Jacobs has something left.

If not for all those Running Back fumbles. Jacobs would still not be back, this was a desperation move.

He's one of the only people in sports I actually have true disdain for.

Hate to say it, but he'll actually make that team better. Brings back some much needed attitude for them.

I agree, he is one guy i really hate. Would love for someone to go low, and totally crush every ligament in his knee

He will be fired up and emotional on Sunday against Denver, he will probably play pretty well the first few weeks until those older legs wear down. It's what they needed for now though and if they really get Brown back around Thanksgiving this can definitely hold them over until then. Short yardage/Goal line back, give him 8-10 carries a game and they improve their football team. Hopefully Denver puts them in a serious hole this week 0-2 is tough to bounce back from

Tiki may have more gas in the tank than Jacobs
speaking of tiki, remember when he was a fumble machine, then he changed the way he held the ball and he rarely ever fumbled. not that I want wilson to correct his issue, but why doesnt the organization throw Tiki a coaching bone, I mean he could use the money and the positive pub.....and wilson needs to fix his issues

I recall Tiki had a very simple approach to the problem; he worked out and made his arms so strong it made it extremely difficult to pry the ball out of his grip.

I use to hate that guy.....then all of a sudden he started to try and juke. Best thing to ever happen to me as a fan. That guy was dominant when he was at his best. Never seen anyone that size move like that. The worst nightmare for a defense is having to face a running back bigger than anyone on your defense lol.

Jacobs knows the offense so if he is in any kind of shape, he will be in on 3rd downs. He is only 31 and didn't play last year so should be well rested. For what the Giants want/need him for, I think he was a smart signing.

But he is a plays like a female beagle and barks like a chihuahua. I wanted to say something else but I know the filter would censor it. He can't take hits and the NY OL opens small holes which I do not think he can fit in.

Yeah, I'm not expecting him to come in and make an actual difference with his play. As I mentioned above he was never really that good. But he brings attitude to a offense that had become incredibly soft, and may help Wilson's confidence-- that kid is broken.

Wilson needs a mentor. In my opinion, he's not a potential star any longer. He's more of a potential train wreck. He hasn't shown me a single thing that tells me he's an every down, 1st round worthy back.

And you think Jacobs is that mentor?

Mentor is probably a bad word. But his cocky arrogance may rub off on him and that's something Wilson needs, IMO.

Good. He only played well against us. I don't usually wish injury on any player but with him I would do a happy dance watching him get carted off the field.
