1 INT in 5 games is pathetic

Are you saying the criticism of the defense isn’t justified?
Im saying the random cries 5 days after a win and the best defensive performance so far this season is a bit.....idk petty

Our pass rush isn’t the problem.

We haven’t been covering.
It's that poorly coordinated zone scheme Eberpuss put together. I think they call it the "Texas Toast Defense" or something like that....

Granted they traded away a top 3 pass rusher but to only have one pick is insane. It's 100% the coordinator, if we had Quinn still we would have a much much better defense. These tampa 2 bend don't break defenses are painful to watch. Thought we were done with them. It's very sad.
what are you expecting? 30 years of mediocrity and you want what in less than a season? please, what is your stat line for the squads? love to hear it

Inversely, Jalen Hurts threw his first INT last night in the Eagles' Thursday night loss to the Giants. This is in comparison to Dak Prescott who is tied for the most INTs in the league with 3.
9 players have more INTs than 3.

Geno Smith leads the league with 9.

If we still had Quinn Dallas would get to the playoffs and the other team would run the ball down their throats and lose.

well joking, in fairness, one of Dak's INTs bounced off his own players' hands, and one bounced on the ground and should have been overturned but Mara's NY office didn't do so.

Yeah, I'll go with some scheme blame. But individually, neither Diggs nor Bland attack balls from the variety of angles as their former ballhawking skills used to show.

They both have had enough man AND zone coverage to have performed better than they have.

Holding onto the hope that the both are just not fully back into football shape from their injuries is the best thing to cling to for now.

Cuz if not, that's the most crazy overpaid CB1 and CB2 duo in the league.

Another claim of how Dak is snake bitten with bad luck. Other QBs get bad bounces too but somehow; it's only Dak's bad bounces that the opponent can catch. :muttley:

there is an argument that if the ball hits the players hands then the QB has done his job. BUT at the same time receivers find ways to catch balls that never should have been caught. I think in the end it all evens out.

The Eagirls are mostly a run dominant team so of course he’s not going to have many int’s. Thursday, when he was forced to pass he had a horrible int.

I disagree and here's why.. any of us who played receiver at any level will tell you that we were told from Pop Warner on that if you got your hands on it you need to catch it. Now I'm not talking about putting two fingers up and having it stick to these new fangled stickum gloves. I am talking about HANDS, plural, on the ball. Before anyone chimes in about one handed catches the same coaches who told us if we got hands on it we better catch it also told us that if you can get one hand on it then you probably could have gotten two. Yes there are exceptions like when the DB is holding one arm but for the most part, I would say upwards of 90% of the time when guys put up one hand they could just as well have put up two. So to me, if the ball is low, you go down and get it. If it's slightly behind you reach back and get it. If it's a little high you elevate and get it. If it's too far out in front you lay out for it. Not saying any of these are easy because they're not.. That's why you're getting millions of dollars to do it. So do it. And for all that is holy if it hits you in the hands, facemask, shoulder pad, chest, bread basket or whatever and it pops up to turn into an INT.. first go make the damn tackle and then second go mea culpa to the QB.

Yup.

Too much zone coverage.

Need to mix it up.

Wouldn’t hurt to use some overload blitzes.

We went through this with Marinelli.

@Zekeats

Pathetic? Well, 20 Teams in the NFL right now have 3 or less INTs, 13 teams have 2 or less INTs.

Surprisingly, Denver only has 1 INT so far and SF has zero.

The mighty GB defense with Parsons has only 2 INTs so far but played one less game.

By the way, Quinn and the Skins have a whopping 2 INTs so far.
