No mention of the Cowboys. I'm a little surprised.
10 NFL trades we’d like to see happen before Tuesday’s deadline
By Eric Edholm
Shutdown Corner
The NFL slowly has warmed up to trading players in recent years, and yet there exists the possibility that only a few deals — and possibly none — go down before Tuesday’s trade deadline.
That stinks.
Let the trades fly! (Even though we don't think any of these really will happen. Sadly.)
It makes for a more fun NFL, with teams that have hit the wall or have gaping holes can add talent immediately, spur fan and media discussion and throw a wrinkle into the playoff talk. Also, for teams that are starting to punt on 2015, it allows them to give fans a dose of hope for next season.
Here are some trades we’d like to see. Yes, not all these players will be dealt, but all of them possibly could be. There’s either motivation or financial reasoning, or maybe it just makes too much darned sense not to.
Either way, we’d be happy with these moves.
Alex Mack to the Seahawks
Robert Griffin III to the Jets
Alshon Jeffery to the Rams
Muhammad Wilkerson to the New Orleans Saints
Vernon Davis to the Falcons
Joe Staley to the Colts
Barkevious Mingo (or Paul Kruger) to the Giants
Jason McCourty to the Patriots
Pierre Garcon to Panthers
Brian Cushing to the Raiders
