The Cowboys are headed for a new home. At the beginning of next season the team will move it's headquarters from Valley Ranch to a brand new Frisco practice facility called The Star.

Here are 10 things Cowboys fans need to know about the new facility.

1. It will share its indoor field with high school teams

The Star will include a 12,000-seat indoor stadium. One side will be dedicated to high school operations, the other will be for the Cowboys and there will be shared turf between them. The set up is the first of its kind for an NFL team.

One of the first events at The Star will be a quadruple header featuring all eight Frisco ISD high school teams, making it a cheap option for people to check out the new digs.

Psssh. The only thing I need to know is that it's another monument to Jerry. Why does a practice facility need a swimming pool, a lounge area (that you have to pay for), and a restaurant/bar? How about building a winning football team.

Free agents. You know, a part of building a winning football team.

Did you miss this part:

10. The Cowboys players are about to get a major upgrade in amenities

Besides just more space, the Cowboys players are getting a number of upgrades.

The team's locker room, which has curved walls in the shape of a football, is getting custom-designed lockers that are being built off-site and delivered later. While they'll keep their team nutritionist, there will also be a restaurant for all employees.

Players will also have a large area set aside for rehabilitation that will include high-tech monitoring, saunas, training pools and one of the largest hot tubs ever built. The hot tub has already earned the nickname "Lake Landry."

Or maybe this:

5. The complex will include a sports medicine center

The Cowboys are teaming up with Baylor Scott & White Health to have a 200,000-square-foot facility at the headquarters.

The cost of that is estimated to be more than $40 million.

The facility will be have a day surgery and diagnostic imaging center, physical therapy services and a preventative care program for athletes. The equipment will be used both for the public and for Cowboys players.

And some on site have been clamoring for years, that Jerry Jones and family are ignorant in all that they do.

Truth be told, nothing is spared to ensure the best of a lifestyle for a Dallas Cowboy player. The effort and expense for medical and rehabilitation facility, equipment, and level of care is second to none in the NFL.

A world class arena for football and social events. A practice/work out area that is second to none.

The whole community is invited to a community environment and in sport related integration at the same quality levels.

That instead, shows great love of sport and a deep respect for both fans, players, and a sense of leadership models for youthful development.

Sorry, this is real class and a deep love by Jerry Jones and his family.

I live in Frisco, I will be attending all games there. I go by the Star everyday taking the wife to work. The place is massive!

I don't think the players, coaches, or owners are the spoiled jerkoffs around here...

Mostly, I think, I hate, what seems like, most of our fans and don't respect them even a little.

They literally will ##### and whine about anything.

Like you *****ing and whining about other fans right now.

Similar except it's far more persistent and annoying and befitting of a small child. You'll know it when you see it.
Sounds like "I can't get my way" "I want this I want that" "my sports team is making me sad":)
It lasts like all season. Then off season then into pre season.

Why not?

I doubt spending money on this facility somehow compromises the team's ability to win.

Geezus, some of you guys will ***** about anything.

I'm thinking about paying the one-time membership to join. Don't hate me; I'm a sucker for all things Cowboys and it's five minutes from my house. I can spend every day there (against my wife's wishes) when I retire.
