  1. He turned the Memphis program around. You can say that about a lot of prospects at their respective schools, but one simple stat sums up what Paxton Lynch meant to the Tigers. In his three years as a starter, Memphis won 22 games with Lynch leading the offense. Memphis won that many games TOTAL in the six seasons before Lynch got the starting nod.
  2. Under-recruited out of high school. Unlike many blue-chip quarterback prospects, Paxton Lynch was not highly sought after out Trinity Christian Academy in Florida. In fact, other than Memphis, his only offers came from Florida A&M and UCF. USF came close to offering, Lynch's father told 247.com, but decided Lynch did not have what it took to make it in the college game. Lynch played for USF's conference-rival Memphis and beat the Bulls three times in three starts over his career. Bet that felt good.

I am coming around on Lynch. He has special talent.

Can he handle the spotlight? The pressure? Those are my biggest concerns with all of these quarterbacks

The spotlight and pressure depends on where they go. The one going to say, Cleveland, is going to have a tougher go of it than any that go somewhere they can be brought along and nurtured. Like Dallas for instance.

Dallas is a perfect spot for a rookie Qb. Besides Wade Wilson of course

Wade Wilson has proven he can't coach up trash at QB. Maybe he can coach up a QB that has some talent though?

Even though players like Lynch and Wentz are talented, it is clear they need refinement. I just question if Wilson can even provide that.

Might be he can't - just don't know for sure since besides Romo - the only QBs he's worked with are god awful or with a super limited skill set that can't be coached up.

If he's kept and we DO draft a QB high, we better hope he can help a real talent at QB improve.

Interesting to see how he looks during the pre draft workouts and Senior Bowl. Lynch and Wentz will both be interesting-----kinda know what Goff brings and he is definitely top 5. Still my #1 choice.

Would not mind at all if Dallas got Lynch-----he does not bring the prima donna or entitlement attitude since he was not highly recruited in HS. The Cowboy coaching staff will get a upfront look at all three at the Senior Bowl and should be able to get a good idea on their talents and prep work.

As a side note, those matte black helmets with the dark blue stripes Memphis wears are one of the coolest alternate helmets in the game. Love that look.
