Video: 105.3: Aubrey Says Reported Offer is "Fake", Broaddus says $10m demand is true though

I'm not sure who to believe...that we offered 7.5 or that Aubrey wants 10 a year.
I didn't like the Javonte signing at 8 mill, and no way I'm paying a kicker 7 or more. those resources are better spent elsewhere

Yeah love Aubrey but the dude is a Kicker. Everyone expected him to break the FG record but some dude in Jacksonville did it. Tons of guys kick it 55+ now no problem. Shouldn't have to do that anyways with the top paid QB in the league. (like others have said)

I'd rather get a 2nd round pick back if someone is dumb enough to give it to us.

The most I see Aubrey getting is $8 million and even that is a stretch. More likely $7.5 million. Because if nothing else the Cowboys could do the second round tender, then franchise tag him twice. That would be less than $6 million for the tender, probably about $6 million for the 1st franchise tag, and about $7.5 for the second tag. So the Cowboys could have his rights for three years without hitting $8 million a year. $10 million a year is a pipe dream.

Hard to know for sure .. that's why players should stay out of it and let their agents do the talking.
When the fans are on the attack, calling the player greedy and selfish because of what the player believes is the result of the team leaking false information in an effort to make him look bad, I can see why there might be an urge to make a quip.

He was responding to twitter trolling though which is always a poor decision because you can never win even when you’re right.

Missed a lot of field goals in December, don't know how that will translate to the 2026 season, kickers are skittish.

I say no.

And that's the biggest issue with Aubrey - there were way too many times the offense had to rely on Aubrey to put points on the board. A good offense (and an overpaid 60 mil QB) shouldn't be putting everything on the kickers back like it happened in 2025.

Aubrey is a very good kicker, but this team put too much on his plate.

Regardless of it being fake about he 7.5 offer, they offered nearly 7 which is highest in the league and a very competitive offer
Im comfortable with it as well but My God.....it's crazy all the players on the Cowboys roster are expecting MAX contracts and most would be role players on other teams. Jerry has boxed himself in....time to churn the roster on the defense side of the ball.

In 2025 there were 29 who made 55+ long field goals. I was surprised there were that many. There were 9 who made a 60 yarder or longer. There were 2 who made from beyond Aubrey's 64 yarder.

Aubrey's agent recently disclaimed any idea that Aubrey wants to make $10 million dollars his idea of a contractual settlement. He did so by saying "absurd rumors travel like wildfire." Surely sounds like such rumors are just that and nothing more. Here's hoping that really is a factual account. We'll see.

we have seen this Front Office before use its shills in the media to push their agenda
That is what this has been

this is win win either way.

Aubrey chooses to stay great, get as much as you can.

if Aubrey chooses to walk, also good, i like him, let him sign with a winner.

That would be the #1 reason to not reset the market with a 30% increase over the current ceiling.

That position is rife with inconsistency and extremely fragile psychys.

From stud to dud has happened too many times. The Falcons payed top money 5 year contract for Younghoe Koo and he started regressing less than 2 seasons later.

Buyers beware
